Another @GovAndyBeshear #unemployment disaster this morning in Frankfort. A report from a friend waiting in line at the Frankfort office to fix a claim:
“They only just stared to take 8:30 appts around 9:35. There’s absolutely no structure, no in-take procedure. Dozens...1/
...here do not know what’s going on or what the process is. They’re just standing & waiting. 1 person has been to the prestonsburg office, & here twice-NO RELIEF. Another has been to that office & here twice; said waiting is getting worse. This is such a profound disaster.” 2/
@GovAndyBeshear senior staffer, Rocky Adkins, was spotted going by the capital plaza hotel. They HAVE to be aware.
Some ppl there have done this multiple times. They said the appts are a joke. The KY State Police trooper recently came out, a woman asked...3/
“What do we need to do?” He gave an explanation that they started appointments (an hr late) & now, it’s just all bunched up. One family has been there since 7:15, came from Louisville; two from Eastern Kentucky. 4/
Maby drove from he’s away. Louisville, NKY, EKY. They’re all on the phone call list. No avail. One claimant reports:
“The phone calls don’t work. We get calls Sunday night, they ask if we want to stay in que. We haven’t had a paycheck on 9 wks...5/
YES, we’re tired, but we drove here. Took a month to get an appointment.”

No excuses are being given as to why they are being turned away. No other appointments are being given. These people are suffering‼️
Source reports no media on site. There’s been time for someone - if they actually give a damn - to show up & give these Kentuckians a voice. Anyone with a spark of ambition should be all over this. It’s easy: “What has occurred that requires appts to be canceled and turned away?”

If some of these trash newpapers spent as much time chasing a good story & digging for information as they do getting their staff to push for subscriptions on Twitter, maybe they wouldn’t be going bankrupt and could let the sales dept. handle that.
