Not good. #Denmark has recorded 566 new #COVID19 infection cases over the weekend (189 Sat, 147 Sun, and 230 today) and one #coronavirus death. The number of infected Danes in hospital (29) is up (+11) while those in ICU (3) and on a ventilator (2) are down (both -1)

Danish health authorities say private parties largely to blame for a surge in #COVID19 infections with 30 infection cases traced back to one birthday party for example. Health authorities warn the #coronavirus is spreading among teens and young adults. #Denmark

#Copenhagen mayor @FrankJensenKBH says they are seeing infection cases spreading predominately in young adults 20-29yo. He says the city will step up an #COVID19 information campaign and target problem areas in the city where young people are known to congregate. #Denmark

New restrictions have been levied in 18 Danish kommunes (municipalities) to try and contain #COVID19 outbreaks. Gatherings of over 50 are now banned, Restaurants and cafes must close at midnight, and a plan to allow spectators at sporting events has been postponed. #Denmark

.@SSTbrostrom with the Statens Serum Institut is urging Danes to rethink parties and celebrations. He says if they decide to go ahead they need to observe strict #COVID19 guidelines like no share plates or chip bowls where multiple people would use and touch. #Denmark

#Norway has registered 302 new #COVID19 infection cases (very high for #Norge) and no new #coronavirus deaths over the weekend. The number of infected Norwegians in hospital (15) is down (-1) while those in ICU (0) and on a ventilator (0) remain unchanged.

#Finland has reported 102 new #COVID19 infection cases and one new #coronavirus death over the weekend. The number of infected Finns in hospital (16) is up (+2) while those in ICU (1) is unchanged since Friday.
