In Hamburg, corona deniers and left-wing extremists want to take to the streets on Saturday. The “lateral thinking” group called for a rally in the afternoon (3:00 p.m.) on Jungfernstieg to demonstrate
“together and non-violently for the lifting of the corona measures”, as the call states. About 950 participants are expected according to the police. Right-wing extremists have been present at rallies by the group in the past.
At the same time, the Hamburg alliance against the right has announced a counter rally on Neuer Jungfernstieg. In view of the Corona crisis, leftists want to move through the posh district of Pöseldorf in the evening (6:00 p.m.) under the motto “Whoever has, has to give”
among other thungs. “The rich have to pay for the crisis!” It says in their appeal. About 2000 demonstrators are expected here.
The rally is also supported by groups classified as left-wing extremists by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, such as the interventionist left or the anarchist libertarian H-Burg.
