Was active before Burhan Wani.
His close aide Sajad Sofi, also killed with him, was recruited by him.

Aijaz was involved in killings of many security forces personnel in Pampore.
He took part in an attack at EDI Pampore on 25 Jun 2016 in which 08 #CRPF men martyred.
On 17 Dec 2016, at Kadlabal, Pampore, he had fired at #army party killing 03 soldiers.
He was working as OGW in 2015 & joined #terrorism before Burhan Wani.
Had recruited many youth especially Towseef Khanday, ,Rafiq Dar & Adil Ahmed, including Sajad Sofi, all slained Lashkar #terrorists.
