There are more than 21.57 lakh active #COVID19 cases in the country. This figure is double of the maximum no. of active cases we had last year. Almost all the states are facing a second wave now. GOI and States/UTs are trying their best to come out of the #pandemic: @MoHFW_INDIA
146 districts having a positivity rate of above 15% are a cause of worry for both the State Govts and the Centre. @MoHFW_INDIA has done extensive consultation with the concerned State Govts so that specific actions can be initiated, many of which have started: Health Secretary
In the #SecondWave, daily new cases has touched 2.95 lakh, whereas the max no. of daily cases recorded last year was around 94 thousand
However, a ray of hope is shown by the Case fatality rate which is at 1.17% and is continuously declining

Maharashtra(6.85 lakh)
Uttar Pradesh(2.23 lakh)
Karnataka(1.59 lakh)
Chhattisgarh(1.25 lakh)

New #Vaccination Strategy: Vaccine manufacturers to declare their prices in a transparent manner before 1st May. On basis of stated prices, the State Govts or pvt. hospitals will procure the #vaccines, which will not be available freely in chemist shops: Secretary, @MoHFW_INDIA
The charges for #vaccination in pvt. hospitals will be monitored
The system by which pvt hospitals charge Rs 250/- per dose will end
Free vaccination at all centres which will receive doses from GoI. The vulnerable, poor, aged sections will receive free vaccines

Free vaccination will continue for those aged above 45 years and eligible population groups (HCWs and FLWs) in the centres which receive vaccines from the Govt. of India

All vaccinations centres will be governed by the National Vaccination Prog. guidelines, all will register in #CoWin platform
New #vaccines which will get authorization in the future will also be governed by the decision of 50% availability to GoI and 50% for others: @MoHFW_INDIA
Biological E vaccine's Phase 1 and Phase 2 trials have ended, will soon move to Phase 3 trials. This is a significant development as they have a major capacity to produce #vaccines: Dr. V.K. Paul, @NITIAayog
