This wasn’t just a ??BAD week for the @UCPCaucus - this was a HORRIBLE week for every Albertan. All of us.

1.In typical fashion, the UCP bad news started with a DISASTROUS Shandro presser.

After telling Shandro to “do more” and “people are dying”, Shandro said “thanks” and he “appreciated the “feedback”

2. Leaked footage show Kenney spreading lies and misinformation re: Pandemic


3. The UCP were caught having a UCP luxury retreat during the middle of a pandemic!

Kenney canceled after it was leaked.

4. Desire being MIA for 3-weeks, Kenney was STILL giving a private speech to the O&G conference and trade show.

Kenney pulled out 17-hours before the event so he could do his job and meet with cabinet to discuss the COVID-19 situation.

5. The UCP released a “No To Vaccine Passports” survey.

The ONLY Question: “Do You Stand Against National Vax Passports”? They also attempted to get donations to fight national vaccine documents

This contradicted statements made by Kenney earlier that week

6. During the pandemic, the UCP quietly cut funding for collecting highly toxic materials - to save $2M.

Rural Albertans need to chose to see cancerous waste end up in nearby landfills or rise taxes on struggling citizens as costs skyrocket.

Our health care crisis started last weekend when:

7. @AHS_SouthZone created 6 ICU spaces (total 23) Every bed was occupied: 87% were COVID patients

8. All day surgeries in #YEG zone were suddenly postponed to deal with Wave 4

9. On Sept 13, over 60 months f Alberta’s Infectious Disease specialists released a letter begging Kenney to do something; stating the health care system will collapse in less than 1-month if things remain the same.

😬 Bad UCP Takes:

10. During a candid interview. Hinshaw blamed Alberta's 4th wave on Kenney’s 'open for summer' plan Hinshaw said removing restrictions “sent the wrong message to Albertans that Covid was over”. Hinshaw also said “vaccine mandates work”

11. UCP MLA Shane Getson said on Facebook that he’s not on board with “distractions” like vaccination passports and vaccines; said we “just need everyone to get Covid and let it run its course” - suggesting the goal is herd immunity

12. A number of political scientists and law experts are adding their voices asking why Premier Kenney, Shandro and Dr. Hinshaw have not yet resigned?

13. Kenney’s impossibly bad decision to delay implementing a proof of vaccination system forced tens of thousand of Albertans to access their e-health record at once, crashed the system. People who needed to confirm appointments, or lab tests were unable to.

14. School boards began speaking out against Kenney:

One board said the UCP “abdicated what was rightfully within the purview of government …laying it on the feet of school boards. You have further caused and increased division and frustrations” 😳

15. Alberta made international news AGAIN! The UK media outlet “The Guardian”, a paper who reaches 23,000,000 UK citizens every month, reported that Alberta has “been the site of North America’s highest caseloads”.

16. Kenney had the WORST press conference of his political career when he was forced to invoke new restrictions

Kenney said he’d “never apologize” for opening up and that covid would run free until “there were.no more people to infect”

18. UCP MLA Aheer quoted Rick Bell’s attack’s on Kenney saying he needed to apologize

20. Conservatives and United Paritiers are FURIOUS with Jason Kenney, claiming he ruined O’Toole’s chances and that he’s set the conservative movement back a decade. 🤩
