There are reports about an ongoing #attack on a #Hotel popular with Chinese visitors, in Shahr-e Naw area, in the heart of #Kabul City.
According to initial info, an unknown number of attackers entered to the hotel after an explosion& a clash is ongoing between the TB& attackers.

The attackers apparently targeted #Kabul_Longan_Hotel, frequently used by Chinese, in Shahr-e Naw area of #Kabul City.

#Taliban's Kabul Police Spokesman:
"Today, at around 2:30PM, a hotel building in Kabul City's Shahr-e Naw area, where ordinary people were living, was attacked by evil elements. Security forces have reached the area& a clearing operation is ongoing.
Details will be shared later."

#Taliban's spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid:
"An #attack on a hotel in #Kabul city, ended with the killing of 3 attackers.
All the guests of the hotel were rescued& no foreigner was killed in the attack.
Only 2 foreign guests were injured when they jumped from a high roof."

The Emergency Hospital in Kabul City:
"Explosion and gunfire near a hotel approximately 1km from our hospital. So far, we have received 21 casualties - 3 were already dead on arrival."

The Taliban are usually hiding the number of casualties from media. Considering the videos of the attack scene, the casualties could be higher than what is reported.
The emergency hospital received 3 dead bodies and 18 wounded patients from the incident.

The #Taliban didn't release details about the #Kabul_Longan_Hotel attack, including the exact number of casualties.
According to Xinhua, "the #Chinese_embassy in #AFG said it attaches great importance to the incident& is closely monitoring the situation& taking relevant actions."
