==> 25 Mistakes You're Making RIGHT NOW In Your Online Business<==

I speak to entrepreneurs every week about their online businesses.

Coaches. E-commerce stores. Online course creators.

I notice a lot of the same themes coming up over and over again....
And if you’re making these mistakes, they’re holding you back from hitting your goals as fast as possible.

Plus they’re creating unnecessary stress in your life.

So do any of these sound familiar?
1) You’re trying to sell too many products at once (courses, one-on-one coaching, group coaching, memberships, etc.)

2) You’re trying to build a product… before you’ve identified your target audience
3) You’re trying to sell low-priced offers with Facebook ads... before you’ve validated your offer

4) You’re trying to sell low-priced offers with Facebook ads... when you don’t have the budget to run them long enough to be profitable
5) You’re trying to sell low-priced offers with Facebook ads... when it’s not cost-effective (because your offers are priced too low)

6) You’re creating unnecessary work to sell low-ticket offers (you don’t need a VSL or sales page to sell a $30 course)
7) You’re trying to sell to broke people (good intention, but generally bad for business)

8) You’re trying to sell to the WRONG audience

9) You’re trying to sell products without an ESTABLISHED audience
10) You’re offering multiple pricing tiers when one is sufficient

11) You’re over complicating your business with complex funnels.

If people want to buy something from you, don’t make them jump through a bunch of hoops to buy the thing they want.
12) You’re drinking the ClickFunnels Kool-Aid.

You don’t need a value ladder, the ascension model or a $7 tripwire offer.
13) You’re creating a value ladder of smaller offers because you’re afraid your high-ticket offer isn’t good enough…

... so you overcompensate with little baby offers because you think cheaper offers will be easier to sell (they’re not)
14) You’re putting product creation ahead of market research.

Research should always come first.

15) You don’t realize that business grows sequentially.

There’s a logical sequence to growth.

16) You lack focus

17) You lack patience

18) You lack confidence
19) You’re trying to sell to the masses when you should be trying to dominate a tiny niche (grow from the inside out)
20) You’re trying to operate your one-person business like it’s a Fortune 500 company

This doesn’t work.

You can’t execute the same marketing plan without the same resources, infrastructure or brand equity.
21) You’re trying to sell your info products and coaching offers OFF Facebook when your customers and clients are already here ON Facebook
22) You’re wasting time blogging when you don’t even have any web traffic…

... when you could be building an audience 10x easier by posting on Facebook, (like I’ve been doing for months), Linked or another social media platform
23) You’re on too many platforms at once and none of them are gaining traction (pick ONE to focus on)

24) You need 3 things to succeed online:
-----> 1) The right target, i.e. list
-----> 2) The right offer
-----> 3) The right creative/copy.

These 3 things are non-negotiable
25) You’re not on my email list

The 80/20 Of Reviewing Your Own Copy

*** Thread ***

Here are 3 things you must ALWAYS include:
#1 — Big Idea/Hook

The Big Idea should address the BIG PROBLEM on your prospect's mind.

This is how you grab their ATTENTION...

And keep them reading.

It also connects your entire promotion.

@comedicbizman explains how to do this in 6FP

6figurepromotions.teachable.com/p/get-paid/?af…
#2 — Social Proof

Whenever you make a claim, you need to back it up.

Promises and Proof go hand in hand.

Otherwise, you lose credibility...

And that can kill the sale.

Social Proof Examples:

• Reviews
• Testimonials
• Case studies
• Endorsements
• Media mentions

I usually focus on email...

But I've been busy critiquing sales letters this past week.

Instead of getting in the weeds...

Let's zoom out and talk about 5 high-level areas that can help you boost those juicy conversions.
#1 — Weak structure

I want to see how the sales letter flows.

How are we organizing the sections?

Do we even HAVE sections?

What about section headers for skimmers?

We want to take the reader through a logical sequence that primes them to buy.

How To Make $20K (Or More) In 1-2 Weeks

***Thread***
Making money online requires 3 key ingredients:

1. List
2. Offer
3. Copy

#1 — LIST
Your niche is a GROUP of people with the SAME problem

e.g. Guys to lose at least 20lbs of fat to get 6-packs

e.g. Twitter noobz unable to make their first $100 online

CONTINUED...
And your “list” is just a customer database of non-buyers and buyers stored on a platform:

> Email lists
> Facebook groups
> Telegram groups, etc

But the TYPE of platform doesn’t matter

They’re just tools for us to deliver our…

Two of the BEST audience-builders on Twitter:

@APompliano
@david_perell

In a recent interview, Pomp shared how he grew his media empire platform-by-platform...

Including his EMAIL MARKETING strategy.

Here are my 5 favorite takeaways...

👇THREAD...
#1 — SET A CONSISTENT SCHEDULE
Whether it’s once a week or every day…

Pick a frequency…

And STICK to it.

Readers like consistency…

And it’s easier to create when you have a set schedule.
#2 — BUILD YOUR FREE LIST, FIRST
Don’t jump straight into a paid newsletter

Instead, start with a free email list

Use it to build a relationship with your readers…

And help them see the quality of your emails

THEN you can upsell them

An Introduction To Broadcast Emails [5 Popular Types]

Broadcast emails = Manual, one-time emails you send to a group of subscribers in your contact list

You can send them once a year or multiple times a day

Common Mistakes:
√ Inconsistent
√ Infrequent
√ No strategy

Cont..
1. Weekly Newsletters

I think of newsletters like online magazines

My Sunday newsletter tends to go deep on one specific topic

e.g. Ascension ladders, choosing a niche, etc

@jamesclear has a great "round-up" style that touches on different ideas in a single email
2. Promotions

The main purpose of these emails is to SELL

This is what people usually think of when they hear about Daily Emails

You can promote the same offer all week, an affiliate offer, run a 24-hour flash sale, coaching spots, etc
