यततो ह्यपि कौन्तेय पुरुषस्य विपश्िचतः ।
इन्द्रियाणि प्रमाथीनि हरन्ति प्रसभं मनः ।।
yatato hyapi kaunteya puruShasya vipashichataH |
indriyANi pramAthIni haranti prasabhaM manaH ||
यतत: अपि पुरुषस्य - who made great attempts in experiencing Atma, मनः - his mind, प्रमाथीनि - can be shaken by desire, इन्द्रियाणि - indriya-s, प्रसभं - by force, हरन्ति - will bring it out

One who has deep knowledge of dehAtma viveka, controls all indriya-s & attempts at experiencing pure & divine Atma, even inside him Desire is capable of wreaking havoc.
It has the capacity to muddle his pure experience, draw out his indriya-s by force & nullify his tapas
proclaims the shastra-s.
That is, the all powerful coterie of Indriya-s shake up great learned men & bends them to their Will
Only when we control our desires can we experience Atma.
Only when we experience Atma do we cease to enjoy anything outside.
