@BotsVsTrump @WaylonsWeiner @ToestringRd @thespybrief @DirkSchwenk Too many want to play the blame game to show that their people aren't as bad as the other side instead of looking for common ground. It's sad really, that so many people on both sides have lost the ability to compromise.
@BotsVsTrump @WaylonsWeiner @ToestringRd @thespybrief @DirkSchwenk I feel the only true way to come back from the era of hyper partisanship that we are in now is for an Independent coalition of moderates from both sides come together and work to bring more people closer to the center
@BotsVsTrump @WaylonsWeiner @ToestringRd @thespybrief @DirkSchwenk Not a new Independent party (though if that comes out of it, so be it), but a meeting of similar minds who disagree on some things, but agree on others that understand the only true path forward is to talk and work together.
@BotsVsTrump @WaylonsWeiner @ToestringRd @thespybrief @DirkSchwenk They need to start by reaching out to the people in the country who fall closest to the middle, as they are the most likely to be reached the easiest, in hopes that they in turn will help by reaching out to those further to each side and hopefully the pattern continues.
@BotsVsTrump @WaylonsWeiner @ToestringRd @thespybrief @DirkSchwenk Of course there will be those who can't be reached, especially on the far extremes, but the hope is that with more people willing to talk and come to beneficial, if not perfect, compromises, the far sides of the spectrum will be overwhelmed.
@BotsVsTrump @WaylonsWeiner @ToestringRd @thespybrief @DirkSchwenk And if we can keep that up, keep talking and working towards all around beneficial goals, then it has a chance of becoming part of our political DNA that can be passed down and keep the extreme wings at bay.
@BotsVsTrump @WaylonsWeiner @ToestringRd @thespybrief @DirkSchwenk Biggest part of this is finding a way of stopping people from thinking that their way is the only way, and everyone else needs to think exactly the same. It's a very selfish, self-righteous and ignorant way of thinking, and I fear will be the most difficult task in front of us
