Criminal charges against four people, including a former lawyer for Mossack Fonseca - the firm highlighted in Panama Papers.

Four men charged with wire fraud and conspiracy to commit tax evasion and money laundering.

2) The announcement of the criminal charges comes after last week's news that German authorities raided the offices of Deutsche Bank in an investigation related to the Panama Papers leaks.

3) Associated Press reported that prosecutors were ramping up their investigation of the Podesta Group and Mercury Public Affairs.

4) Per AP, prosecutors began process of interviewing witnesses & reportedly contacted lawyers to schedule questioning relating to both firms.

Podesta Group registered to lobby on behalf of Sberbank, a firm implicated in Panama Papers, just weeks before the 2016 leak occurred.
5) Also announced that Wanzhou Meng, the chief financial officer of Chinese telecommunications giant, Huawei, has been arrested in Canada at the request of US authorities on suspicions that she violated US trade sanctions against Iran.

6) US intelligence experts have deemed Huawei a security threat to US.

Huawei was subject of a House Intelligence Committee investigation in 2012.

Alexander Downer (met w/Papadopoulos) was a board member of Huawei until 2014 when he accepted top diplomat post to London.

2) On Dec. 10, 2015, General Michael Flynn attended a dinner in Moscow honoring the 10th anniversary of Russian television network RT.

Flynn, who was seated next to Putin for the culminating dinner, was also interviewed on national security matters by a RT correspondent.
3) Flynn’s speaker bureau, Leading Authorities, was paid $45,000 for the event. Flynn received $33,000 of the total.

Flynn reportedly joined the Trump campaign in late Feb 2016 as an informal advisor on foreign policy matters—although his actual start date is not entirely clear.
