@ewarren 1. At first, I didn’t have an opinion about your claim of Native American heritage because many Americans share it. However, I became resentful when you began publicly capitalizing on it for your political ambitions and then refused to answer questions about it.
2. You even avoided Native media, like Indian Country Today (which prompted a harsh rebuke from the head of the Native American Journalists Association). Your avoidance was very disrespectful, cast a pall over your character, and shredded your credibility.
3. During your Senate career, you hardly demonstrated any legislative knowledge or support for Native issues until just earlier this year. In fact, you failed to support many beneficial legislative efforts (Tribal Labor Sovereignty Act 2015. You were not a tribal advocate.
4. When you addressed the NCAI, you squandered the opportunity by talking about YOURSELF and rehashing a history of Pocahontas. You only mentioned Native issues at the end, as a PowerPoint afterthought. Most disrespectful and disappointing.
5. Now you’re forming an exploratory committee to possibly run for President.
Fine.
But this Native American won’t be voting for you. #ElizabethWarren#ElizabethWarren2020
