@Telugutalli Surya pratima drawn with Rangoli. Milk to be heated on dungcakes so that it boils & spills over on the cake. We perform abhisheka on Vishnu (purusha sukta+vishnu sukta), Shiva (rudra), Ganapati (atharvasheersha), Surya (atharvasheersha) and Devi (shri sukta) everyday anyways.
@Telugutalli this drawing of pratima, heating milk etc are "laukika" rituals. Part of Maharashtrian culture (some parts of it, some sections of society). It will vary from place to place and caste to caste..

The spilling of milk signifies abundance of it. Also performed during grihapravesha
@Telugutalli The Nitya puja part (I've given only puraaNokta version of Puja on blog. Typically we combine it with vedokta Purushasukta verses and digbanda, shaD-anga nyaasa, prithvi vandana, Bhoota-utsaadana etc). It is pretty standard. Has all the necessary links

Thanks for sharing @TarekFatah ji. One of the best descriptions of Modi I heard was from a sādhu during 2003 Nashik Kumbh Mela -

“Modi jéb sé pakkā hai aur langoT sé pakkā hai”.

At that time, he only was a new CM of Gujarat.

People love “incorruptible”(money and women) men.
Men of power who are straight-laced in matters of women tend to have special magnetism among public. This isn’t a rule but my observation.

Public emotional pull men like Shivaji have in public, this personal clean integrity vis-a-vis women plays a very subtle but powerful role.
This isn’t to say there are no other great men. So lets not start a fight here. 😃🙏🏻

Just my observation. Public implicitly trusts a man on whom the aphrodisiac effect of power is non-existent.

The story of kāmadeva and Shiva is perhaps relevant here to understand this.

रथः क्षोणी यन्ता शतधृतिरगेन्द्रो धनुरथो
रथाङ्गे चन्द्रार्कौ रथ-चरण-पाणिः शर इति।
दिधक्षोस्ते कोऽयं त्रिपुरतृणमाडम्बर-विधिः
विधेयैः क्रीडन्त्यो न खलु परतन्त्राः प्रभुधिय:
Tripurantaka Shiva. Chariot of Prithvi with sun and moon as wheels. Brahma is the charioteer. The string of Shiva's bow, "Pinaaka", is made up of naaga "vaasuki". The arrow is Vishnu himself. Four vedas are the four horses.
Tripurasura is collective name given to three sons of Tārakāsura - Vidyunmāli, Tārakāksha and Vīryavāna. They were granted 3 floating citadels by Brahma, which could be destroyed only when someone could strike them simultaneously. Gods asked Shiva to take care of this menace.

Three planes of reality. Adhibhautik, adhidaivik, ādhyatmik. Prakruti exists in all three planes.

Bhautik - Indriyas
Daivik - manas
Adhyatmik- ahamkāra and mahat/buddhi

Diff composition of 3 guNas on each level. Ayurveda deals with guNa-imbalance on bhautik level. @DrPareexitS
Ayurveda is a shāstra dealing with balance of three doshas (which are satva-raja-tama manufesting themselves on bhautik plane).

It is not chārvāka in its outlook. Its aim is to improve “Ojas” of the body. Ojas is “chetan”.

I have tagged a respectable Ayurveda doctor here to give his commentary on what is “Ojas”. It is a subtler entity (sookshma), and not a gross one (sthula) which can be isolated and quantified by 5-indriyas (or their mechanical extension).

A 18-min rant to express what are some very simple ideas should be enough of a major red flag. But let me point out some tactics/fallacies. They are used elsewhere in this “space” too.

Very often Hindus get asked -

“Do you folks believe in multiple gods”?

Other external observers, who have studied Hinduism more closely, ask -

“Do Hindus believe in God at all? Are they atheists? Or at best Monists? Definitely not strong theists like us Christians/Muslims”
These observations are not invalid or without basis. Many HIndus themselves would gladly agree that their way of life is not particularly theistic in orientation. The Political Hindu types among the younger generation would actually embrace this characterization.
And to be honest there is great support within the HIndu tradition for a non-theistic or at best monistic philosophical outlook

Very often in polite liberal circles, there is consternation when it is claimed that Hinduism is the religion of the Vedas

The immediate counter is:

"No! That's a brahminical right wing view. Hinduism is extremely diverse, disorganized motley collection of South Asian faiths"
I contend however that this fashionable view is very inaccurate. In my view much of the theological and philosophical beliefs of the Hindus actually stems from the Vedas.
Also there is a case to be made that Hinduism is actually an extremely well organized belief system with a standardized canon, and a well defined philosophical framework, housing considerable variety within that framework

1/ Manu (The progenitor of Humankind)
All different races of Mankind are derived from Manu and Shradha. The current Manu is Vaivasvata Manu.
2/ The word Manu literary means man but it is a title given to the progenitor of mankind. According to Hindu Puranas there are many kalpas (One day of Lord Brahma the creator) and each Kalpa has 14 manvantara and each manvatara has one manu. So basically each Kalpa has 14 Manus.
3/ The current manu of the present manvantara is Shraddhadeva or Vaivasvata Manu of this current Kalpa. He is the son of Vivasvat (Probably Surya) and is therefore also known as Manu-vaivasvata.
