Velvet Buzzsaw is basically a giallo and I am all here for it
Gyllenhaal’s physicality in it is distracting — it would have made Zawe Ashton’s arc more interesting if it was a less attractive actor playing Morf, if she were in the positiom women so often are of having someone kinda gross but career useful creeping on her

Okay, I told @AtwaterRhodes that I'd have a more in-depth response when I got home, and here I am, at home. So here goes: WHY PIRATING BOOKS IS NOTHING AT ALL LIKE BORROWING IT FROM THE LIBRARY AND ALSO DON'T DO IT: A THREAD.
Now, for this argument I'm going to make an assumption--first because it's a fair one to make, and second because the argument hinges on it. The assumption is this: Every opportunity you are given to read a book is done with the goal of convincing you to buy the book.
Publishers are companies. Authors are employees. Companies want to make money. Employees want to get paid. I have now sufficiently supported this assumption to move forward with the argument.

There are exceptions in specific businesses, just as wearable computers (Apple Watch, Google Glass) can play a major role when narrowly adopted in specialized professions.

But one thing that I've found striking in late 00's/early 10's WIRED is how innovation is slowing down.
It's been incredible witnessing the monthly drumbeat of technological and social transformation from 1993-2008. So many big things were introduced, took hold, and then became foundational to our daily lives.

By comparison, how much has really changed from 2008 to 2018?

Great question, Frederik! Thanks for asking! So... a few thoughts about outlining an arc of a comic book series... which is, in many ways, THE HARDEST PART OF THE WHOLE JOB for me!
Planning the initial story arc of a comic book series often feels like the toughest part of writing comics because in order to nail down that story, I have to nail down all the big things that make the series and character tick.
That initial story arc is a kind of mission statement, laying out the main character's big motivating dynamic, building the world, setting the genre and style, and establishing the supporting characters and villains. So it requires a ton of thought.
