Velvet Buzzsaw is basically a giallo and I am all here for it

Gyllenhaal’s physicality in it is distracting — it would have made Zawe Ashton’s arc more interesting if it was a less attractive actor playing Morf, if she were in the positiom women so often are of having someone kinda gross but career useful creeping on her

(Don’t get me wrong, Gyllenhaal is great in this, but still)

I wanted them not to show Dease’s face, like all the old photos of him are bent or faded there — negate him as a presence

The actor playing DonDon is perfect(ly punchable)

There is no internal logic to these hauntings / kills right now and that hurts my thriller-writer soul

Again, I want a less buff lead actor. Would be so much more real when Josephina moves past needing him

Is it me or is there some dodgy greenscreen CUs of esp Gyllenhaal and Russo in this? The matteing is odd and feathery in places
