We are also hearing from victims. The first is Mark Lyman. He says his abuser was Fr. Frank Genevive. Says he’s stepping forward so other survivors can do so as well. He wants to protect others in the future.

Another survivor, Bridie Farrell telling her story as well. Says she wants to encourage people to gather the courage to speak up and share their story.
Attorney Jeff Anderson says the recently passed Child Victims act in New York helps with this process for any survivors looking to come forward.
Anderson says “current practices adhere to secrecy.” He says as long as names remain under that secrecy, kids are in danger. That’s why they are releasing this list. Fellow attorney Cynthia LaFave says it gives survivors the chance to expose offenders past and present.
LaFave says healing for survivors begins with accountability. Anderson says this is also about recovery of power.
This is Jeanne Marron who is telling her story about attending Bishop Gibbons where she says she was abused by James Vincent Hanney.
Here’s the info we have on Hanney. Marron says he abused her in many ways and urges anyone else who experienced he same to come forward.
The main point of the press conference is to urge the @AlbanyDiocese to release the names of not just priests accused of abuse, but anyone within the religious order.
Anderson says currently his firm represents 10 survivors who say they were abused by Hanney.
