E aí? Já teve essa dúvida? Como os dois verbos significam "fazer", quando uso um e outro? Então siga este thread e acabe com essa agonia de uma vez por todas!
Do

Usamos "do" quando não dizemos exatamente de qual atividade estamos falando (something, nothing, anything, what e everything):

- Do something - faça alguma coisa
- I did nothing - eu não fiz nada
- What can I do? - o que eu posso fazer?
Também usamos "do" diante de "work" e "job":

- Are you going to do any work today?
- Você vai fazer/executar algum trabalho hoje?

- Do your job!
- Faça o seu trabalho!
Make

Usamos "make", quando o fazer se refere a uma construção, criação:

- I'll make a cake today!
- Vou fazer um bolo hoje!

- I need to make a plan!
- Preciso fazer um plano!
