7 Ways Alcohol Is Murdering Your Appearance (Thread):
Looks matter.
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
And if you look good, you're ensuring that all interactions with other people get off to the best start possible.
The world simply responds to you better when you have...
+ Low body fat
+ Lots of muscle mass
+ An obvious v-taper
+ A chiselled face
+ Vibrant eyes & skin
So you're compromising all of these by drinking.
'Occasional drinkers' are fine - 1-3 glasses of red wine per week won't do anything.
But:
'Social drinkers' & 'Binge drinkers' are in danger.
If you drink 'in moderation' regularly with friends, family etc., then you're ruining your appearance.
If you binge drink every Friday or Saturday night (or both!) then you're ruining your appearance.
Here's why:
#1) Alcohol = Empty Calories
Yes, alcohol calories are 100% calories, and will 100% lead to fat gain.
Not only are they calories, but they're completely devoid of protein, essential fats, or micronutrients.
In fact, they:
1) Dehydrate you 2) Make you HUNGRIER
Next:
#2) Alcohol Will Bloat Your Face
If fat gain wasn't bad enough, you also have an additional facial bloat from regularly drinking.
Your cheeks and neck have more of a swollen look to them, which completely murders your appearance (your face is the first thing people see).

#3) Alcohol Kills Your Sleep & Recovery
A lack of sleep is the fastest route to lower testosterone, muscle loss and shitty workouts.
And even one whiskey before bed is enough to annihilate your sleep quality/depth.
Good luck getting a broad, muscular physique!

#4) Alcohol Makes Your Eyes & Skin Look Worse
You already know how small and dead your eyes look when you're hungover.
And how bad your skin gets after a couple of consecutive nights of drinking.
The more frequently you drink, the worse your eyes & skin become.

#5) Alcohol Is The Killer Of Testosterone
ON TOP OF the sleep problem, alcohol further attacks your testosterone independently.
This is especially crucial for Men Over 40 who already have an uphill battle with hormonal health.
Keep the FREQUENCY of drinking down.

#6) Alcohol Makes You Consume More Calories That Night
Everything becomes more tempting when you've had a few drinks.
Anything sweet.
Anything salty.
Good luck maintaining dietary compliance in a calorie deficit when you're 'under the influence'.

#7) Alcohol Makes You Consume More Calories The Next Day
Not only did you consume more calories last night (that are likely going straight to your fat stores, as you're combining the two evils - alcohol & sugar), but you're also going to eat more junk the NEXT DAY.
More:
Those who say they don't crave junk food the next day are either:
1) Completely full of shit (most likely by far) 2) The lucky exception to the rule
And guess what happens to this junk food?
Yep.
Straight to your body fat, which is the number one killer of your appearance...
