This morning I sent a tweet to someone who was clearly smearing #Corbyn I started by saying "You joined the Lib Dems because you are a #Tory You line your pockets on the hard work of others." For my troubles I received a lot of abuse.
Nice to know that remainers consider a nurse and veteran a cultist dickhead. I actually voted remain, but would rather see Corbyn negotiate a trade deal that keeps many of the freedoms we have than have a no deal Brexit!
To debate and discuss the nuances of brexit etc. Is one thing but to use #Antisemitism#Racism#Cult and the notion that Lib Dems are progressive is another.
You only have to look on Swinson's voting record to see how bad the so called progressive were in a coalition government. Voted for the Bedroom Tax, Voted for Fracking and a lot worse
So I had the audacity to challenge a person who had supposedly been a Labour Party member for many years for joining a party so progressive it supports the bedroom tax and fracking.
What I find amazing he does not consider train drivers and doctors working class. He believes that because they have good salaries they are no longer part of a class system. very strange for someone who once a long time member of labour.
If you have to dip into paid work whether that be in the form of paid employment or self-employment you are working class. You cannot sit at home waiting for food to be put on the table. How much you are paid is irrelevant. You are in a capitalist society working class.
So to be clear I am life long socialist and Labour supporter. I am a nurse and veteran I voted remain and would probably do so again but I also believe we should respect the referendum and that the best person to negotiate a deal that works for everyone is #Corbyn
1. Nazi poster promoting the idea that those with health problems are a threat to the German nation. @PiersRobinson1@stezia7@DanielFooksArt Over 100,000 children and adults disabilities were exterminated or subjected to inhumane and unconscionable medical experiments.
2. Stay with me on this just let the image sink in and how it was used to propagandise the health of a nation in 1930s - 1940s Germany @PiersRobinson1@stezia7@DanielFooksArt People should read about The Volkskörper and Aktion T4 "to be continued".
3. The Volkskörper "national body" was the classification of the "Volk" the German people as an organic national biological entity that needed to be protected from the unclean. @PiersRobinson1@stezia7@DanielFooksArt
1. On the 9th of November 2021 the UK government announced mandatory vaccination for NHS health care staff. On the 20th of November 1945 the Nuremberg Trials commenced. It is nearly 76 years since officials of the Nazi regime were put on trial. @DanielFooksArt@NeilClark66
2. The Nazi officials stood trial for crimes against humanity including medical experiments. The trials were meant to stop an abuse of power and medical experiments and trials without the explicit consent of participants. @DanielFooksArt@NeilClark66
3. The crimes conducted against the Jewish people were horrific. This thread is not an attempt to trivialise those crimes. @DanielFooksArt@NeilClark66 n January 1933 Hitler was appointed chancellor, the head of the German government.
@jewssf@AmemeHack@inmydumpster Again the defining word is "atrocities" surely when the military of any country commit atrocities it is not unreasonable to condemn those actions. We know the background to the challenge.
@jewssf@AmemeHack@inmydumpster The only reason for anyone to feel uncomfortable with calling out the BoD, is that there is a suggestion that they have some responsibility for the actions of the Israeli Military. There is no implication in the request that is the case. Clearly they are not going to respond.
@jewssf@AmemeHack@inmydumpster However, whether or not anyone agrees with the counter demands made by Rachel in her tweet surely it would not be unreasonable for such atrocities to be condemned? Do we know if Rachel was the originator of the demands or was it a retweet?
"The Jewish Labour Movement believes antisemitism is a serious problem in the Labour Party." The Jewish Labour Movement is an organisation that allows anyone from any political party to join (Think about that) it members do not have to be Jewish.
So anyone with an agenda against #Corbyn or genuine ethical socialism can join. April 2019 Mike Katz JLMs Chairperson made it clear the group would be selective in supporting candidates at the General Election who supported Corbyn. So in whose interests do they serve?
@mkowl@charlottechurch The Tories were in power for nearly 5 years in the 1970s. Heath declared a "three day week" in 1973. He also imposed wage restraints and the economy went into recession. These events resulted in strikes across the country.
@mkowl@charlottechurch In the 1960s Wilson introduced Free Prescriptions, scrapped The Means Test and introduced supplementary benefit. Benefits for pensioners were increased. The Widows earning rule was abolished, Redundancy payments were introduced.
@mkowl@charlottechurch Wilson's Labour also kept the UK out of Vietnam, abolished capital punishment, introduced The Open University, Decriminalised Homosexuality, His tenure in government also brought about the Race Relations Act and the Equal Pay Act.
Wow Jolyon Maugham wants to keep the #ToriesOut by supporting the Green candidate in #Stroud take a look at the 2017 result bit.ly/2LyiXbI Now think about this! Maugham is an advisor for a #Tory Think Tank Bright Blue bit.ly/2roWgQp
Scroll down the list of names and you find Matthew Elliott the Former Chief Executive of Vote Leave! Molly Scott Cato might be a principled person but why support a party that only achieved 2% of the vote? A slight increase in that vote could give #Stroud a #Tory#VoteLabour
