Hi, I'm Cyber Anakin. There's an idea that I would like to share with you which might save #HongKong and both #Koreas at once. #FreeHKSaveKorea #NorthKorea #SouthKorea

I'm not doing this just for personal gain/fame nor pleasing everybody, and nor promoting #RiseOfTheSkywalker . Rather, it's just that I want to save lives and stop #HongKong and #NorthKorea situations from deteriorate further.

Here's the idea.

In exchange of having #China to let #HongKong's Carrie Lam administration in caving in to all the #5DemandsNot1Less or perhaps the important bits of those at minimum extent,

a form of strategic relief can be given to #China, in form of a peaceful #Korean reunification. This can be achieved by setting up a Reunification Investment Fund first described in Prof. Iverson's 2017 book "Stop North Korea! A Radical New Approach to the North Korea Standoff".

while the Kim Family would be given the choice to leave – retaining part of their fortune – and continue the rest of their lives elsewhere, away from the public eye.

More than 85% of this money would go directly to impoverished North Koreans and it is likely another trillion dollars of post-unification development investment will also come pouring in over the next few years.

Prof. Iverson argues that in order to free the way for denuclearization and reunification, the Kim family and the ruling elite must be removed from the equation, respectively with the promise of immunity for the former and financial incentives for the latter.

When the Reunification Investment Fund is broken down, the North Korea buyout differs radically from the Iranian deal. The fund is structured to spread these payments over a period of seven years, which would allow for a smooth transition.

Out of the 175.5 billion estimated, 23.3 billion would go to the top elite families with political and economic power in the country; the top ten power elite families would receive $30 million each, while the top thousand would get more than $5 million.

Another 12 billion would go to the military, perhaps the most important piece of the puzzle, in order to guarantee a non-violent transfer of power; 11,000 upper elites, including all generals, would be offered at least $1 million,

whilst more than 50,000 mid-level political elites and military officers would receive between $100,000 and $500,000. Aside from the top ten families, the special groups that reside in the capital would receive another 17.9 billion.

Finally, the general population of North Korea would benefit from 121.8 billion, raising the incomes of 300,000 families in Pyongyang, once reunification starts.

Almost every conventional efforts up to now to denuclearize #NorthKorea and reunify it has been fruitless. As Kim Jong Un's Dec. 31 deadline looms, it's vital for #Korea, #USA and #China to seriously consider this idea and do the next right thing.

This may mean going into the unknown for some but as above all of the conventional solutions have been tried so far and yet it's going nowhere.

Let's think about this from Chinese point of view; if Korea is peacefully reunified with the Reunification Investment Fund then it would no longer made sense for US troops to continue stationing there.

For that the US would have to reduce their presence in the reunified Korea and keep a small part of it at Jeju Island, while the THAAD system which according to #China is a threat to their national security, would be removed as well.

Furthermore it's already an open secret that most of Chinese citizens disdain #NorthKorea so much because of the latter's erratic behavior.

If #XiJinping can carry out the idea together with others like @realDonaldTrump and #MoonJaeIn, they will win a lot of public support from their populace, not to mention increased economical opportunities in Chinese Northeast Region after Korean reunification.

The idea is fully compatible with the notion of "Community of shared future for mankind" (人类命运共同体) so it's sensible to believe that Chinese government should give it a try as they like to talk about peaceful solutions so much.

To explain this strategical geopolitical bargain to their populace #XiJinping can say something along the lines of "we're just biding until the right time" and "at least we got something in return".

While for the US, @realDonaldTrump has a good reason to try that too as the Nobel Peace Prize is all he wanted. Not to mention the benefits of stopping nuclear and arms proliferation from DPRK post-reunification while US strategic security is improved.

@realDonaldTrump As for South Korea, this represents the best option to reunify the peninsula without having cities like #Seoul being flattened by artillery batteries coming from the North. A reunification means a mega boon in economy for them.
