Let's explore the premise for "investigating" Biden.

Shokin, the Kremlin-aligned holdover, was NOT actively investigating Burisma. His ouster was supported by GOP senators Rob Portman and Ron Johnson, ...
the IMF, the EU and ... pretty much all of Western democracy. So, Biden was implementing U.S. policy in pushing for his removal. He was sacked by the Ukrainian Parliament for . ... NOT pursuing corruption.

Last week Biden told NPR that HUNTER admits he “made a mistake” by joining Burisma board because “the appearance looked bad” and gave Giuliani “an excuse” for a “Trumpian defense.”
Finally, Trump released the same aid in 2017/18 with no mention of Burisma or the Bidens.

But .... 1 hour before his call with Zelensky, Trump was tweeting about a Fox News Poll showing Biden beating him by 10 points in a general.

1999 = all witnesses heard.
2020 = looking dicey.

This is the only GOP senator we can find at this hour who has, or is, objecting:
Also, Congress has yet to receive formal notice of when lawmakers will be briefed about what imminent terrorist attack was thwarted by killing Soleimani versus other actions.

Folks have asked for more info about Frank Press, the science advisor in Carter's admin whose memo about the potentially catastrophic consequences of unchecked CO2 emissions I linked to in my @popula essay on climate rage. Here's the page I linked (from Carter pres. library)
@popula Press was chairman of the National Research Council and president of the National Academy of Sciences from 1981-1993. During most of those years the National Research Council was supported in part by funding from Chevron, Exxon, and Mobil. They all knew, folks.
@popula Dr. Jim Schlesinger, first head of the DOE discussed Press's work with him in great detail. His take was that more certainty was needed before acting on policy. But he nonetheless said it was something that needed to be watched and taken seriously. More on Schlesinger:

In data from @FiveThirtyEight and GDELT tracking, #Biden is leading TV mentions. This is pushing down poll numbers for other candidates.

Biden - 4,317
Sanders - 461
Warren - 1,090
Harris - 146
Buttigieg - 88
O'Rourke - 118
Booker - 142
Klobuchar - 47
Yang - 41
Castro - 21
These numbers should embarrass the MSM. #Harris is polling 4th yet she has less than 2% of #Biden's mentions, only 10% of #Warren's. #Buttigieg is polling right behind Harris and he has only half her mentions. Yet #Booker is almost equal to Harris. While #Castro--almost nothing.
The week showed a big drop in mentions for #Harris and #Sanders, despite high profile appearances for both on major TV shows. The disconnect is striking, particularly since both have rolled out new policy and important changes in their campaigns.
