The Nobel Peace prize is one of the world's biggest symbols of imperialism masquerading as humanitarianism. It was started by and named after an arms dealer and it's been given to a whole roster of colonizers and war criminals since the early 1900s.
In the late 1800s Alfred Nobel read an obituary written by someone who thought he'd died and roasted him for being a death merchant. In his embarrassment he made a foundation to give annual prizes, including one for pacifists and imperialists who signed treaties.
The prize was, from the very beginning, meant to sanitize the legacy of a war profiteer, and the Nobel committee, which decides who gets the prizes, is chosen by the parliament of Norway, a country that's always been a major exporter of arms to imperialists.
Because imperialism necessitates war, and because the Nobel Peace prize was founded and is continued by people with massive stakes in imperialism, it can't actually do anything to eradicate war. Instead it puts a shinier face on imperialism by symbolically supporting peace.
Of course not every Nobel Peace laureate is a warmonger, but a lot of them are. Among them:

And bofors, the company that was a steel mill when Nobel bought it and turned it into an arms manufacturer, is still selling arms today. Nobel was an imperialist to the core, and imperialists don't even know what peace is. Of course the Nobel Peace prize is bullshit.
