Here’s to the small group of people hammering that the letter given to me by @DelhiPolice is “not a permission” & that they trust their word over me:

The letter was given to me on Sat. 1 Feb at 5pm. Despite asking for a permission letter, they merely gave me this.

Officers that can confirm this:

1. PSI Bahadur Singh from Parliament St. Police Station who sits at the chowky at Jantar Mantar.

2. ACP Baljit Singh Rana from the HAX cell who confirmed the permission & later asked me if I can postpone it to after the 8th

.@DCPNewDelhi tweeted later in the evening stating “no permission was granted”.

None of those questioning me have bothered to ask the DCP why the permission was refused & on what grounds.

Was it because the slogan is not allowed? If so, that was the WHOLE POINT.

If I’m falsely claiming that permission was granted, I ask the @DelhiPolice to arrest me & charge me immediately.

If not, maybe those targeting me should ask the police the grounds for refusal of permission.

I’ve filed an RTI demanding a copy of the refusal letter.

I was given permission which was later withdrawn.

Pls do ask Delhi Police why permission wasn’t granted as they claim. Ask why Anurag Thakur or Hindu orgs marching to Shaheen Bagh could use this slogan & weren’t charged.

Targeting me won’t answer these questions.
