This morning, I recognized Pastor Marvin Rodriguez from City of Refuge Ministries and Pastor Eric Tietze from @HOCdistribution for their dedication to assist the community and improve their quality of life.
Pastor Rodriguez recruits at-risk children within the @PicoRiveraCity and outlying areas into his boxing organization, “Marvin Nation” where he provides them with free lessons, life skills, and a strict moral compass. In 2020, he joined the @CouncilLasd
and has since donated 25,000 boxes of food since the onset of the pandemic.
Pastor Tietze tirelessly serves the @CountyofLA community and his ministry. Over the past three years, Pastor Eric has donated over 40 million pounds of food to community members in need.
Currently the @CountyofLA Board of Supervisors are discussing other agendas on the table, I will be back live when the board agenda regarding emergency management is up for discussion and a vote. Continue to follow us on our Facebook link.
We are back online to discuss the @CountyofLA Board of Supervisors regarding their Board Motion to modify the county charter and how we manage emergencies. Watch me live by visiting our Facebook page.

Please, let's be prepared, not scared. Follow warnings and recommendations of the @CDCgov and @lapublichealth; avoid large gatherings, and continue personal hygiene diligence..
@LASDHQ takes threats very seriously and would like to to remind everyone that if you see something say something. If you believe you are the victim of a hate crime, contact your local Sheriff’s station or Police department. #SheriffV#ifyouseesomethingsaysomething

The 2020 Hate Crime Summit brought together members of the community, religious leaders, community leaders, and our law enforcement partners to discuss hate crimes, hate incidents and what defines both. #SheriffV
As I stated tonight, hate crimes and incidents cannot and will not be tolerated in our community. @LASDHQ remains committed to the safety and security of the 42 contract cities and 153 unincorporated communities we provide law enforcement services to.
As your sheriff, I want you to be assured that the LASD continues to maintain specific guidelines to combat hate crimes and hate incidents.
Today at 0947am, @LHSLASD assisted @LACOFD with a Helicopter Crash near the @CityofCalabasas. All we can confirm at the moment is 9 people were on board. No one survived. We at @LASDHQ offer our condolences to those families affected. @NTSB & @FAANews are on scene & investigating
People from around the world are reeling from news of the tragic crash today near #Calabasas. We mourn alongside the families and friends affected by this tragic loss, & are working closely with multiple local and federal agencies to determine the cause of this incident.
This will be an extensive investigation, which could take a great deal of time. We know people want to come to the crash site, but we need to keep it clear for investigators. Affected residents are reminded to provide photo ID for entry into closed areas...
