(1,4) This week I was invited by @TedDeutch, one of my favorite people in the world, to attend the Gershwin Prize in honor of @garthbrooks at @librarycongress. I'm aware of the reality that had my daughter not been killed in the MSD School shooting, I would not have been here. 
(2,4) I no longer go to events like this and look at them the same way. For me, being here actually was another reason for me to marvel at decency and humanity. While I was truly blown away by the music and the entertainment of @garthbrooks and others, what struck me was when
(3,4) I watched @garthbrooks in the box with his family. First, he was having a great time. Second, this man loves his family and I felt every word he spoke when he spoke about his daughters and their strength. Garth, my daughter Jaime was the strongest person I knew.
(4,4) I am Jaime's voice now. If Jaime were alive, I am certain that what Jaime would like to have said to me about you @garthbrooks is "Dad, he is a really good person." Thank you @garthbrooks for entertaining me with your music but more importantly your decency and humanity.
