Those were the words of Socrates 2400 years ago.
I've tried to live by those words, and now they are especially applicable.
This is going to be a LONG, but important, thread.
And it's where my age (53 next week) is an advantage.
The impact the Corona Virus is going to be MASSIVE, whether it amounts to anything or not.
Some are calling it #Pandumbic .
Maybe they're right, and people ARE overreacting.
I'll give you my thoughts at the end.
But here is what I promise you is going to happen:
People will lose jobs, layoffs will be massive, and who knows when it will be YOUR turn.
But, at the SAME EXACT TIME, fortunes (relatively speaking) will get made.
Money NEVER stops getting made, it just moves.
EVERYBODY, it seemed, was out of work.
BUT, he still managed to make 3 trips a week to Arkansas to bring back whiskey to Tulsa OK.
And make $900 EACH TRIP.
$2,700/week
He had saved up $500,000 in cash by the time he was 19 and bought all of what is now downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico.
(How he lost it all is another story.)
The point was people still had money for whiskey. And plenty of it.
Get a separate income going NOW.
BEFORE you need it.
It could be real estate, sales, website design, copywriting, ANYTHING that makes you money, because your day job might just disappear in a moment's notice.
First, if you want to learn financial planning, I run a mentorship program. I teach EVERYTHING you need to know to run a PROFITABLE business, but it ain't cheap.
6 months is $5,000.
But, I realize that that is out of reach for many, or you have no interest, so here are 3 other suggestions for you:
-@joserosado has a KILLER, and I mean KILLER course on website design.
And its CHEAP.
People NEED good websites.

CNN reported that Pike's Market in Seattle is DEAD.
Nobody there.
Website design is a great way to make money and help the community.
Do you really think they're going to spend the same amount of time 'working' as before.
HELL no.
They're going to be screwing around online.
Jose also has a great course on monetizing Twitter.
Online.
And people are going to get bored and cabin fever quick.
Which leads to my last recommendation:
If people are losing their jobs, they are depressed.
What do they do?
First, they sell stuff, cause they need money.
And they often sell it cheap.
Next, they buy stuff cause they're depressed and bored.
What is all business really boil down to?
Prop Joe from the Wire said it best: 'Buy for a dollar, sell for two.'
All the details about how to buy, price and sell in one guide:

Personally, I'm with Dr. Drew and think the whole thing is completely being blown out of proportion.
But, I'm a finance and math guy, not a scientist.
Then, you can buy my awesome tax course which will be out one of these days, and you'll need it.
In the meantime, SERIOUSLY consider how you can not be a victim if you lose your job.
I'm sure somebody else said that first, but I can't think of who, so we'll say it was me.
Remember, my grandfather made $2,700 a WEEK back in 1939 during a crisis.
That would be $112,000 a MONTH in today's money.
