#FBI trivia was on @Jeopardy tonight, but we're not stumped. The #ClueCrew visited the FBI Academy to film prompts for the “FBI Quantico” category, and now the #BuCrew is here to give you more facts. Let’s play Jeopardy! #TodayOnJ
Become an agent: Drive the precision obstacle course. Take a virtual ride with this 360-degree video on the FBI Academy’s precision obstacle course. An instructor explains the types of maneuvers new agents test on behind the wheel. Watch at ow.ly/PUZd30quBWo. #TodayOnJ
New agent trainees await their turn at the Tactical Emergency Vehicle Operations Center. The training teaches drivers skills like maneuvering out of a common rear-end spinout, ramming a threatening vehicle, and backing out of an alleyway under fire. #TodayOnJ
This fingerprint kit from the 1930s was the October #ArtifactoftheMonth in 2017. The kit contains a magnifier, brushes, vials for powder, a probe, and a pad of paper. The front of the case drops down to reveal a metal plate where the ink was spread to take prints. #TodayOnJ
A latent print is an impression left on an object by the ridged skin of a person’s hands or feet. A member of the FBI’s Evidence Response Team uses a cyanoacrylate fuming wand (superglue) to capture latent prints. #TodayOnJ
If every gun tells a story, the FBI's reference firearms collection could fill a large book. The inventory of more than 7,000 firearms contains nearly every make and model. Go inside the FBI firearms collection with a video interview and tour: ow.ly/a0Ja30quC2L. #TodayOnJ
The largest revolver in the FBI's reference firearms collection is a Smith & Wesson 500, shown here with the Smith & Wesson .44 Magnum, which was made famous in the movie “Dirty Harry.” Visit our photo gallery for more at ow.ly/wACu30quCae. #TodayOnJ
The firearms collection started in approximately 1933. It was originally housed in the @TheJusticeDept and was moved to FBI Headquarters where it quickly outgrew the space. Now, the collection is located at the FBI Laboratory in Quantico, Virginia. #TodayOnJ
The #FBI Laboratory Division’s Freedom EVO robots, aka liquid handling machines, can prepare reagents (a mixture used in analysis) for about 4,000 samples per day. The robots are one of the many instruments our lab technicians use to help solve crimes. #TodayOnJ
John Herbert Dillinger was one of the most notorious gangsters in American history. During the 1930s, he and his gang terrorized the Midwest region, committing murders, robbing banks, and staging prison breaks. #TodayOnJ ow.ly/9y4F30quCcq
Dillinger spent the last few hours of his life watching “Manhattan Melodrama” at the Biograph Theater in Chicago, Illinois. When he left the theater, he realized FBI agents had gathered to arrest him. Dillinger grabbed his pistol, and FBI agents fatally shot him. #TodayOnJ
After Dillinger died, Reliance Dental Manufacturing made a mask of his face to showcase the quality of the company's plaster. Some police officers then cast copies of the mask during forensic modeling studies at the #FBI’s National Academy. #TodayOnJ ow.ly/sDZ130quCeh
Tonight, “FBI Quantico” was a featured category on @Jeopardy. Thanks for following the #BuCrew as we brought you more information about the work we do. So long, everybody! #TodayOnJ
