Had an interaction with Hon. @PMOIndia via video conferencing in view of #COVID_19 pandemic. I took an opportunity to highlight certain important issues. Primarily, the following points were addressed to the Hon'ble Prime Minister.

@PMOIndia @narendramodi Due to the pandemic the agriculture, industry and business sectors are in trouble. Rabbi crop is ready in the fields. But the farmers are facing problems right from the stocking to selling of vegetable, fruit products.

@PMOIndia @narendramodi Agriculture sector has been severely damaged. The central government should take steps to provide immediate relief to the farmers and those dependent on agriculture.

@PMOIndia @narendramodi The central government should also look at how the state government's income will increase. States have not yet received their share of GST. It should be transferred immediately to the states.

@PMOIndia @narendramodi It is heard that in some states the instructions are being issued by Honorable Governor directly to the bureaucracy.

@PMOIndia @narendramodi Though Hon. Governor has the authority to do so, the instructions have to be routed through Hon. @CMOMaharashtra and the Chief Secretary’s office in order to avoid multiple power centers and probable hindrances in the coordination of administration.

@PMOIndia @narendramodi @CMOMaharashtra Following the Covid-19 epidemic, some drastic measures will need to be taken to mitigate the financial crisis. In that view, a non-plan expenditure will have to be incurred.

@PMOIndia @narendramodi @CMOMaharashtra The problem of immigrants has become severe. Many people are in trouble because of having to leave for home due to the closure of businesses. For such people, NGOs and the government are instrumental in providing food and shelter.The central govt should also support such efforts.

@PMOIndia @narendramodi @CMOMaharashtra Food should also be available to those who do not have Aadhaar card or ration card. Since the Food Security Law is implemented in this country, the central government should ensure that nobody starves in this country.

@PMOIndia @narendramodi @CMOMaharashtra Due to the lock down all over the country, many problems have erupted. It is inevitable to cope with the pandemic however, there should be state-wise planning. You should also consider a possibility of selective lock down, without compromising health and people's livelihood.

Now we need to focus on how to prevent the spread of the disease. It is not appropriate to blame or criticize any community.

Social Media should avoid actions that can lead to spreading hatred based on ethnicity, feelings of discrimination between communities. The media should stop reiterating news & messages that could lead to discord in society.
