Epidemic management is not new to Ayurveda. Even ancient Indian Vaidya Vijnani Rushis explained epidemic diseases very scientifically. Charaka has elaborated epidemic conditions under ‘Janapadodhwamsa’, Sushrutha has defined communicable diseases under the head ‘Oupasargika Roga’
