Because, our press, being private enterprises, with rights pinned in our Constitution, continues to entertain this mediocrity and serve it in tranquilized doses through news cycles and now the talkshows manned by comedians and pseudo-celebrities...
These, in turn, elevate the folly of these political upstarts transforming them into urban legends.
We wouldn't know or be interested in them if the press wasn't always sharing about them. The same way we forgot about Githeri man, Obado, Waititu, etc.
