London gold bullion dealer criminally charged with laundering the proceeds of crimes & forgery. They had already frozen 50M pounds of real estate from him over the past 2 years of the investigation.
#ButNothingsHappening
His ex-wife (divorced in 2017) is an heiress to F1 racing, with the recent exposure of Airbus paying bribes through sponsorship of F1 teams I wonder if there are connections?
I guess time will tell where this leads, you don't launder money without help.
Seems he also had a side gig selling faked art to collectors!

Seems he was linked to a huge royal scandal where fake art was provided to & displayed by Prince Charles.

Malcolm Rogers the former curator of the National Portrait Gallery in London & retired director of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts was the one who pimped Stunt's forged art to the Prince of Wales.
I wonder if any of these art dealers every referred to Charles as the Prince of Whales? A big fish to land & corrupt.... (yes it's a mammal but the analogy is used)
Good thing nothing happened to those painting while the Prince had them insured...
If they were stolen or lost in a fire, that would be major insurance fraud. Now what insurer would not check to verify that it was insuring forgeries?
Looks like James Stunt was born into grifting. He had an actual mob godfather as his godfather!
He got his own start in grifting very young too!
Earning 4M in commission on a shady oil deal with a Libyan at 17 for connecting the seller & buyer.
Then he started a fleet for shipping 'goods'. Rubbing elbows with the Rothschilds, Goldsmiths & Al Fayeds.
Then he found himself a 17 year old heiress with a 4.5 billion pound trust fund!
From her associates, he learned that art was a racket like his other ones. Buy up a 'forgotten' piece of art, get someone to certify it for you, then market it as a long-lost masterpiece returning to the open market...
After a $19M wedding (most of it spent on entertainers it seems) the moved to Los Angeles.
Movie stars & oil moguls came calling to hang out with this new power couple...
He got into the business of 'loaning' artwork, a topic I have discussed before, because people often pay leasing fees to display such art in their office. A prime way of laundering money...
Then he moved into forging art to loan & sell!
Stunt eventually had to give his forger a real masterpiece that could be auctioned off to pay him for all of his work forging artworks.
Stunt eventually lost his wife, kids, and his access to money that made him look respectable! But he did keep running his mouth!
Apparently Stunt accessed Prince Charles through one of his staffers how was also accused of selling royal possessions he had pilfered.
It is easy to see how one dirty staffer can expose the most powerful people in the world to grifters & charlatans.
It is amazing how easily it is to infiltrate the highest levels of society & play games with millions & billions of dollars!
Seems Prince Charles will have the last laugh. The 13 works of art along with the 4 fakes appear to have been handed over to UK law enforcement. So Stunt won't be getting them back...
