The devious ways of the Gandhi Parivaar.

On 12th May 1999, the Supreme Court of India had passed a judgment holding the LTTE responsible for the assassination of our Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi.

There was ample circumstantial evidence for the CBI to initiate a probe into whether Antonio Maino's mother Ms. Paola Maino and her sister Anushka Vinci have had a long term, continuing association (since 1984) with the terrorist organization The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam

The Government had set up a Multi-Disciplinary Monitory Agency (MDMA) led by the CBI to probe leads that surfaced regarding the Maino - LTTE links.
The circumstantial evidence included Sonia Gandhi's:-

1) Plea to pardon the Death Penalty for her husband's killers.

2) Providing 1Acre land near Indira Gandhi International Airport for housing the Periyar Centre for the Pro LTTE and Dravida Kazagam secessionists who were indicted in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination by the Jain Commission

(Part 3, Volume IV, Chapter VII, Pages 161-173 of the Final Report) and whose 7 key members along with 19 other members of the LTTE had been sentenced by the Supreme Court for conspiring with the assassination.

3) Going extremely soft and be silent on the extradition of the LTTE Supremo Prabhakaran. Whereas one may think that Gandhi family posses a major security threat to India, paradoxically they enjoyed the cover of the Indian State for the longest time for their nefarious activities

A very intriguing angle to this entire episode is that The Additional Director of RAW - Mr. B. Raman, while in service, had reported to PM Rajiv Gandhi

and I quote,
"Ms. Sonia Gandhi's umbilical cord remains strongly attached to Italy. Her close relatives are Italian citizens living in Italy. India has National security interest in Italy because of its arms, nuclear and technology supply relationships with Pakistan and China."

Raman also concluded that no source in Italy would co-operate with the Indian intelligence agencies because they feared that someday perhaps they would fall in the Italian hands. After retirement from RAW, Raman published an article in "The Statesman" in his own name.

The article dated 16th May 1999, stated - "Italy is flouting the US sanctions and providing Avionics to the Sino - Pakistan Joint project to develop the F-1 Chinese designed plane which is to be a successor to the US F-16 Super Fighter Jets.

Indian Intelligence is busy trying to build sources in Italy to track this development.

So the big question still remains.

A) Why would a lady pardon the death sentence of the same people who assassinated her husband ??

B) Instead of punishing the conspirators, why would someone allot free land at a prime location to the conspirators ??
C) Could it be that Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated because he had come to know of Italy's role in developing weapons for Pakistan and China ??
