The Senate are said to be 'looking to pump the brakes on the next Relief Bill' bc McConnell is busy with his Judges..word is they could be pushed into earlier action if the PPP goes down again, which it likely will later this week.

Congress has two critical hearings this week:
Tuesday-Senate HELP Comm: Fauci, Hahn, Redfield & Adm Giroir will testify via remote video, Lamar Alexander will also Chair remotely since he's in self-quarantine for exposure to a positive Staffer.
House hearing Thursday will be Dr Rick Bright-the HHS Physician who filed a WBC accusing them of cronyism, politicizing Covid response & retaliatory firing
Hearing is before House Energy & Commerce at 10AM-no other info yet

Pelosi said that the House will not formally return to DC until they've reached remote consensus on the next Relief Bill, which they're expected to release as soon as tonight-the last 2 bills were done by Dem ldrshp-this time, the rank & file MoC want some say #MondayMotivation
2-So it may take longer, more like next wk. The bill will have State/local $, an extension of unemployment insurance & SNAP, & Postal Service $. There's push for a fed program to pay the salaries of middle-class workers vs direct payments-which ldrshp prefers
3-Pelosi is also said to plan to muscle through a measure to institute proxy voting whenever the chamber officially returns to D.C.
Much of this is in flux, all is subject to change, there'll be a LOT of negotiation fireworks this week.

Last wk there was reporting that the House would return to DC this wk-DC chatter didn't support it & as of today there's no word from Pelosi that it'll happen
Dems are working remotely on the next Stim pkg, but WH won't talk to them at all bc Trump's mad at them

2-Trump talking points on the Sunday Shows today were clear: He wants to wait & see how the 'current spending takes' & how the reopening goes, while at the same time they're all trying to get ahead of next mos UE #s, which'll be very bad
3-Meanwhile, there's reporting that the WH are planning two 'large' but as yet non-specific events to demonstrate that they're 'ready to deal with Covid in the fall' & Trump's going to PA this wk
