So MoHFW bulletin today morning shows the total infections 62939 with 2109 deaths.

This DOES NOT include DELHI data of yesterday!

Even then the daily growth was 3277
Delhi informed yesterday that they will use a baseline from midnight to midnight & publish data on every day morning.

Then yesterday Delhi tweeted 6542 confirmed cases up to 4 pm 8th May to midnight, same number is in MoHFW website
Most of the States releases their bulletins between 5 pm to 7 pm every day.

Andhra Pradesh release their data at noon.

MoHFW from 6th onward decided to release data at morning 8 AM, which reflects the yesterday data.

While ICMR test data releases at 9 AM every morning.
Too much of a baseline!

I was arguing for a baseline data release time for all entities, they can stick with 12 midnight to 12 midnight cycles or 10 AM to 10 PM cycles or anything the mandarins at MoHFW deems fit.

But sticking to a uniform baseline is essential for comparison
A simple instruction from MoHFW will make this work. But for that they should at least show some sort of uniformity at Union Government level, yep, start with both MoHFW & ICMR releases data at same time. Then ask all entities stick to same baseline, release all testing data

Instead of guided by genetics, virology, and current epidemiology, Indian Government not only remain as a mute spectator but also became an active participant to promote anti-science, superstitions and fake medicines as the remedy of COVID-19 in the early days!
As COVID-19 is originated in China, our neighbour with whom we have a strong business relationship. Moreover, China is a global manufacturing hub, hence most of the global population travel to and fro from this country, make them expose to the COVID-19 originated from there.

I strongly disagree with you Oommen.

You are working for a think tank. Do you see the timing of the lockdown in isolation? Of course, I have strong disagreements with that argument, leave that aside.

But it is the most cruelest and inhuman lockdown, never massage it!
There was no thought process involved in it!

Every public policy is decided after giving due considerations of the trade-offs involved.

So India's policy thought that the poorest of poor are dispensible!

The way they issue every day notifications show the lack of imagination
How much of the science involved in these lockdown decisions?

We seen repeated vulgar display of obsequience to the leader, no dispute that he can make millions to do monkey dance, at his will.

But any of those helped India to tackle the deadly virus?

Delhi government fudges COVID-19 data, reports fewer deaths

An analysis of the COVID-19 data put out by the Delhi government reveals that the state has been hiding the number of deaths due to #COVID in the National Capital

Since May 2, 2020, the Delhi government has insisted that the number of deaths have remained at 65.

But since then 20 more persons have died of Covid-19 at Lok Nayak Hospital and Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital together.
A scrutiny of the data from Lok Nayak Hospital, a dedicated COVID-19 facility in Delhi shows that on May 4, six patients died, on May 5, six patients died and on May 6, the tally was five. On May 3, no one died at LN Hospital.
