1. @POTUS @RealDonaldTrump @KochIndustries & @GOP reopening plans are based on a fallacy. Consumers will avoid activities that cause illness & death. Demand is the key to recovery. Trump can't save economy without focusing on saving lives. His plan will come to a dead end.
2. A few bars and nail salons will not sustain a recovery. Trump's recent pitch that we are all warriors and should be willing to sacrifice our lives for the economy only reinforces the seriousness of the threat to life and safety that he concedes his plan involves.
3. When the #RedStates become hellscapes this summer their economies will start to crash. Demand will plummet and with many more months of misery ahead and, with all the money from @USTreasury spent, the markets will be no longer bathe in artificial Federal Reserve liquidity.
4. The only way to save the economy is to stop the spread of the #pandemic. If that's not the plan, it's over. The irony of this disaster is, had Trump acted early and forcefully to become the leader in pandemic response rather than a global laughingstock, he'd be reelected.
5. Trump's response is so contrary to his interests that I continue to believe he had some personal stake in preparedness that went south and, true to form, he refused to even acknowledge that the pandemic existed lest it cast suspicions on whatever dirty deal he was hiding.
6. But now it's too late. He's looking at losing Florida. Ohio & Texas won't be far behind when the deaths explode in late summer. So now he's going back to Trump as the victim of a the Russian hoax. Not a smart choice when it's possible his Russian financial entanglements could
7. soon be made public or result in the indictment of his family in NYC where all of Trump's hidden Russian control will become public in a speaking Trump family indictment. Trump has no escape. He can't stop the election. He's going broke playing small scams for cash.
8. I'm a 29 year bankruptcy litigator. Serial Bankrupts know when it's time to leave the table. I think we should make him an offer he can't refuse. Resign and we will grant him immunity. He has to pay his taxes like Nixon but he can go away and not be indicted. We may lose this
