"Who IS the Antichrist!?"

Antichrist only mentioned 4 times in entire #Bible 3 times in this passage.

1. Identifying the Antichrist requires we understand:
• the meaning of the word ‘Antichrist’
‘Anti-christ’ means ‘against and ‘instead of’ Jesus Christ - Jesus (of Nazareth) Christ (the anointed one).

• the time in which Antichrist comes
When is the “last hour”?
-- We are IN the last hour.
-- God is NOT bound by human time.
-- Don't think chronological time, think fulness of time.
--- "The time is 3:46"
--- "The time has come"

• the way in which Antichrist works.
- 2 John 1:17 "For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist."
- The Antichrist traffics in deception and division.

2. Identifying the Antichrist requires we understand ‘Antichrist’ is:
• A particular person who will lead final world rebellion against Christ. v.18
• A group of teachers who promote CERTAIN false doctrines about Christ. v.18 The #Bible is crystal clear about WHO #Jesus is.

Submit to His understanding as opposed to forcing Him to submit to our own understanding.

• A spiritual force in the world that opposes or denies Christ (an evil spirit). THE MOST DANGEROUS.
- 1 John 4:3
- The most insidious.
- This sneaks into everyone's thought process everyday.
- Be aware.

3. Identifying the Antichrist raises the question of the REAL Christ.

1 John 2:22-23 Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

• ‘Denying Jesus is the Christ
- You can deny Jesus with your silence. With your life.
• ‘Acknowledging’ Jesus is the Christ:
- English: to recognize, take notice of.
- Greek: To express openly one's agreement with and exclusive, loyal allegiance to.

You can't have multiple Lords
