The finest of the surviving forts in #Karnataka ruled by Madakari Nayakas, feudal chieftains of Vijaynagara kings 16th century, #Chitradurga fort has seven concentric walls for protection and 18 temples in the fort.The oldest Hidimbeshwara temple of Mahabharata epic significance.
