If you're an entrepreneur looking to build tools for #remote teams because you anticipate more teams will go remote due to #coronavirus concerns, here are some ideas/thoughts for you. 💡
First of all, being a remote team is a lifestyle choice. We aren't 👽’s from another planet. Our problems aren't necessarily that different from teams who work in an office.
Remote teams need to put more effort into being _great_ at communication, trust, team building, hiring, and organizational company things like HR, accounting, forecasting, and payroll.

I've reviewed tens of thousands of job applications for @podia and previous companies. Here are some of my tips for people who are applying for a new job:
It's really important that you convey enthusiasm for the job/company. I want to know the specific reasons why we caught your eye and what you like about us. 🙌
This may sound petty, but it's really important that you don't have any typos, spelling mistakes, and grammar mistakes. We get hundreds of applications and it's just one of those red flags. Proofread everything.

When I started @podiadotcom a few years ago, I was 165 pounds. I'm 34 years old, 5'9" and I've been that weight for most of my adult life. A combination of entering my 30s, stress, and long days led me to eating unhealthy and not working out. I got all the way up to 200 pounds.
Recently, I've been fighting back by eating healthy and working out. To encourage my team to do the same, I told everyone to please make sure that they are taking care of themselves outside of work and to never feel like work is getting in the way of being healthy.
I'm so happy to be back at it. Working out every other day and eating healthy, home-cooked meals. The positive effects this change has had on my life have already been tremendous: more energy, less stress, better sleep, and a happier mindset. 💪
