Everyone I know who's at all connected to the world is overcome with sadness and anger about the constant parade of black death (and attempted murder) and the equally sad realization that likely none of the perpetrators, public or private will be held accountable.
Nobody feels this collective pain the way black people do. And then some are tasked with having to explain or report on that pain to skeptical or oblivious non-black colleagues which in and of itself is re-living the trauma.
All of this is playing out in a #Corona world where we aren't free to commune together in the ways that historically have brought us comfort during times of crisis. Because the disease is more deadly to our community

I spent part of Memorial Day thinking about the black people who've died trying to civilize America. And the black people being murdered everyday because America refuses to be even a semblance of the place the founding documents claim that it is
This administration and by extension this country's addiction to white nationalism is going to throw all of us into the dustbin of history. And as usual black folks feel it first
