It's been hard to describe about what living with chronic post #COVID19 fatigue is like.

This fab piece by @claudiatanner where she spoke to @bcdelaney1, Prof Paul Garner of Liverpool Tropical Medicine School & actress Gemma Hepworth who all had it. /1

Also if you have had the symptoms over a long period of time in the way myself, @bcdelaney1, Gemma and Paul describe please if you have not already talk to your GP and as I have done and Prof Tim Spector of @KingsCollegeLon encourages please self-report your symptoms on their/2
#COVID19 tracker app. /3
At present @WHO has extended its list of common signs of #COVID19 to cover fatigue, shortness of breath, aches and pain along with fever and cough.

The @NHS has only so far added loss or change to sense of smell or taste.

Given research @claudiatanner highlights that 40% /4
Of #sars survivors after the 2012 outbreak (#sars comes from the same corona family as #COVID19) experienced symptoms of chronic fatigue following their illness, I do think more needs to be done by @NHS on post #COVID19 fatigue. /5
This in my view should include considering with the contact tracing work announced by @MattHancock, @DHSCgovuk & @NHSEngland including as symptoms chronic fatigue and shortness of breath.

I would like to be contacted by #ContactTracer and would be prepared to self isolate./6
However, like Gemma Hepworth in the article I have not been able to have a test. I'm happy to have a test, but at present the only way I can do so is to pay for one privately or to say I'm a key worker or a volunteer which I'm not.

At the very least @MattHancock could you /7
Please bear us in mind as I want the #ContactTracingApp to be as accurate as it can be. @jnjokugoodwin happy to speak to you privately on this as I'd like to help.

@BimAfolami as Gemma highlights even small things like detailed emails are hard for me. As I've written and /8
Met you before and have my address which comes under your constituency could you please raise my case with the relevant health minister at @DHSCgovuk and @DWP (I would like to know is there anything additional to Universal Credit I'm entitled to).

This could be done in form /9
Of letter (could you transfer a copy to me) written or oral @HouseofCommons question. This is not just about me but all of those who have had symptoms of what I've had or confirmed post #COVID19 fatigue.

@libdemdaisy you are not my MP but I do come under @StAlbansCouncil /10
In the last 6 months I've found Bim unresponsive to emails so if you could make the relevant Shadow Lib Dem Health Spokesperson aware I would be most grateful.

@Jeremy_Hunt as the Chair of Health Select Committee you may find the thread on post #COVID19 chronic fatigue/11
Of interest and worth your committee exploring in terms of #ContactTracingApp, published common signs of #COVID19 by @NHS and aftercare vis a vis #COVID19 seeing what we can learn from #sars.

@JonAshworth & @DrRosena you may also find my thread and
piece by @claudiatanner /12
Of interest. Not just questions I have vis a vis common signs on @NHS website I have, testing and #ContactTracingApp, but also the issue of medical malpractice in my case from an NHS 111 doctor, aftercare & exploring the mental health impact of those who've had or in my case /13
Still have post #COVID19 chronic fatigue.

Happy for you to write on my behalf or ask questions on my behalf to @MattHancock & @DHSCgovuk, though before it goes out I would like to check wording etc.

I can be contacted via DM here or stephen@stephenhoffman.co.uk /14
I'm not great with emails though as I've stated if you need a detailed reply. /15
Please find below details of my case which I'm happy to have out in the open alongside the screenshots I shared at the beginning of this thread.

It was only on 14 may, a long time after April 8 when my medication was changed from nasal spray to an inhaler. /16
Further screenshots below. /17
If anyone knows of any relevant post #COVID19 chronic fatigue support groups online in the UK please do get in touch and spread widely.

I hope by talking about it I can help raise awareness about post #COVID19 chronic fatigue. /20
@MattHancock, @jnjokugoodwin, @DHSCgovuk, @DWP, @BimAfolami, @libdemdaisy, @DrRosena, @JonAshworth, @NHS, @CMO_England, @uksciencechief & @Jeremy_Hunt please find timeline until May 7th including my relevant medical background. This was still when I was receiving the wrong /21
Medication in the form of a nasal spray, which was corrected on May 14th with an asthma style inhaler.
