(1) "The Bondi Beach #COVID19 Outbreak" & "The Bondi Ocean Outfall Sewer"

A covid outbreak at Bondi Beach in New South Wales remains a mystery. Could contamination from the "Bondi Ocean Outfall Sewer" have played a role?

It's a test of my recent theory.
(2) Bondi Beach is a popular spot near Sydney, which became a CoVID-19 hotspot when the outbreak occurred in New South Wales, Australia.
(3) An outbreak occurred at Bondi Beach when 33 people tested positive after attending two events on March 15th.

Restrictions were put in place and Bondi was closed on March 21st due to large crowds in order to prevent another outbreak.

(4) The original outbreak was investigated and still remains a bit of a mystery.

Recently, I've developed a theory regarding CoVID-19 Sewer Super-Spreading in Milan, New York and London. I wondered if it could apply to Bondi.

(5) First I looked for a large Stormwater Outfall near Bondi Beach; I found the "Bondi Ocean Outfall Sewer".

The BOOS discharges into the Tasman Sea, just North of Bondi Beach. It was an intercepting sewer to reduce the amount of sewage discharging into Sydney Harbour.
(6) Apparent the BOOS has been granted exemptions for being a "Heritage Site".

It is the most popular tourist sewer in NSW.

(7) As recently as 2016, Christopher Pearce of the Sydney Morning Herald reported that "Four million litres a day of untreated sewage continues to be released into the sea from cliffs between Bondi Beach and South Head"

(8) There is also a Bondi Sewer Vent that releases Sewer Gas with Entrained Aerosols into the air above the Bondi North Golf Course near Bondi Beach.
(9) The Bondi Ocean Outfall Sewer (BOOS) and the Bondi Sewer Vent are about 1.2 km from the Bondi Pavilion where the outbreak occurred.

A nice walking path takes you between the sites. Now the question is, did it rain?
(10) It did indeed rain on the Ides of March and the two following days. It also rained six of ten days prior to the events believed to be the cause of the outbreak.
(11) I found a 2007 report that showed that the opening of Deepwater Ocean Outfalls in 1991 reduced faecal coliforms concentrations from 12 to 15 Colony-Forming Units to 1 to 6. An improvement, yes, but not a complete abatement.

(12) UNDISPUTED:

So there's viable coronavirus in infected people's feces.

There's infected feces in the NSW sewers.

There's a sewer discharge and a sewer gas vent within 1.2 km of Bondi Beach.

And it rained leading up to and on 3/15/2020, when the outbreak occurred.
(14) I did find references to ongoing projects trying to address the outfalls near Bondi Beach. I have not been able to determine the % completion of these projects. Any help would be welcome.
(15) There are additional outfalls north of the BOOS that may have also come into play.

The ocean floor near this shore seems to channel water parallel to the shore.
(16) I found some better bathymetric maps and there just seems to be a drop off from the continental shelf.
