#covid management plan for Delhi/Mumbai/Chennai
1.Set up more sample collection centres across all corporation wards. Let anyone with symptoms get tested easily and early.
2.Allow private labs to test without prescription
3. Cap fee for Covid test in Pvt labs if not done.1/n

4.Isolate those detected positive.
5. Test all contacts of positive cases and isolate. We may need 25000 tests/day or more in Chennai over the next 45 days to bring things under control
5. Strictly enforce use of masks in public thru Police. Mass education in parallel 2/n

6.Import Rapid RT PCR kit (not antibody kit).Result comes in an hour.This will significantly help reduce spread as early isolation can be done.This will also help non covid patients as even emergency procedures are getting delayed bcos of waiting for test result 3/n

7. IEC campaign to inform people that testing centres are available and that anyone with symptoms should go and get tested. If positive their contacts must also be tested.
8. Communicate to public the strategy.Tell them cases will rise big time for next 4-5 weeks 4/n

but will fall thereafter. Deaths will also rise for 6-8 weeks and then start to fall.
9. Carry out surveillance after getting the antibody test kits
10. Consider getting medical and nursing staff from less affected States to help. Staff shortage may soon become acute. 5/n

11. Release testing data district wise and mortality data transparently. Monitor the projections and the R0.
12. Monitor mild cases from their homes remotely via telemedicine.
