Sunday June 14 2020 started out like any other day.I was working on my PC when my phone rang and a friend called to check up on me.We had spent sometime together the penultimate week.During our conversation a question that should have been normal

was asked. This time it set off all the alarm bells. Now I am the Jagaban for roots, fruits and herbs amongst my friends. From tooth ache to cancer it is not unusual that you hear during the course of a conversation "I am or someone close is feeling this;what can I use?"

It is either I give them an answer offhand or ask that they give me a few days to research depending on the severity of the ailment. So when my friend asked what can be used to restore sense of taste and smell, I sat up! I asked how long the loss of taste and smell has been going

on and the response told me i may be in big trouble. The loss of taste and smell has been on for over a week. I asked that a test be taken and called @NCDCgov. I was asked to proceed to mainland hospital Yaba for a test. This was around 1:30pm Sunday the 14th. I headed there.

a contract security guard at the gate close to the testing center told me tests were closed for that day. I was bewildered. The nice NCDC person on the phone said I should get there before 4:00pm,this is a few minutes after 2:00pm. My guy said the testing center does only 50

test each day and they have been instructed to turn everyone else back once it is fifty. I became suspicious. He then said he could give me a number to call and I could go and do my test there. I smiled. A racket already! Over people's lives? He made to hand me the number

just as someone from the test center signalled that i should come. He pretended he didn't hear him. The official then raised his voice and asked why he was keeping me. The contract security guard now gave me a number,guess what it was? 38! So all day i was the 38th person to come

for a test or he has sent only God knows how many back. I walked to the sitting area and looked around. So much work is been done to make that hospital and the environment comfortable. Kudos to @lagosstategov @Fmohnigeria @NCDCgov. I awaited my turn and was called up shortly

to take my details. I did and told them I had no known symptoms but i may have been exposed to someone with symptoms.Shortly i was called to take the test. Not a very comfortable test as you have huge cotton buds thrust into your nostrils to collect samples; it is a tad painful.

I also had to cough up enough phlegm into a small container. I was sanitized and asked to go. I'll get my result in 72 hours or thereabouts. I reckoned I was safe since was perfectly fine and had zero symptoms.
MONDAY 15TH JUNE 2020
I was at work on my desk at home trying to

communications. At around 11:00am I started feeling this intense pain around the base of my back just above the waist. I felt i had been sitting for too long and needed a stretch. I tried to get up and was hit by a dizzying feeling and i became suddenly week. What could be

wrong? I decided to lie down and maybe get some sleep. I struggle with insomnia as do most entrepreneurs. I couldn't sleep. My condition deteriorated fast and i had a fever already. I took off to the herbs market and got some herbs prepared it, and steamed myself with it.

I forced myself to eat and then slept a bit. I had no idea the nightmare was just starting.
TUESDAY 16TH JUNE 2020
🎵Today is the first day of the rest of my life. I got to be stronger to be ready for the fight🎶. This lines took on greater meaning on Tuesday. I was fighting for

my life. It appears someone was doing a penetrative test on all my vital organs and the pain-OMG! the pain is excruciating. Every single joint was in crushing pain. I had to keep cracking my knuckles to get some relief. Then the wave of tiredness! You walk a few feet and you are

completely exhausted. I kept talking the herbs and trying to keep myself positive. At this point I had to send a message to my fantastic directors to follow up on some mission critical stuff on my desk. @cfagbata @ifedyinspire @rotimi_fasuyi & Ọmọbọ́lá kept on calling. My mom

called(as she usually would) to check up on me and I explained to her I was in a bad space. Tuesday saw me knocking on Hades door. It was horrible at night. The chills, and fever alternating like two bullies making you almost beg for mercy. At this time my Elder sister had called

And then my younger sisters. They were all anxious to know what the test result will be. Somewhere deep inside everyone was hoping it was something else. I hoped too. @Tobyadewusi my sister sent me some supplements and kept checking. Everyone who knew was on my case. Family is

everything. I cannot tell how reassuring it was to know that during this dark period every single person set everything aside and focused on me beating whatever it was. I am blessed.
WEDNESDAY 17 JUNE 2020
I woke up Wednesday morning feeling very weak but better. Tuesday was

nightmarish so it was relive to wake up better. I took some of the herbs again and took a walk to get bread and some fresh Air. The rains made everywhere cool and the air felt washed. Mom called and said i should avoid refined products and take only fruits and warm fluids.

I obliged. No more bread. @Tobyadewusi called wanting to know the status and i told her i was feeling a lot better but no result from the NCDC yet. She urged me to call them. I promised i will. The sun shone and brightened the earth and everything looked so good. @cfagbata called

and we bantered over #COVID__19 and politics & @foundingLAG. We had some VCs looking at some of our founders and we needed to get that done as quickly as possible. We also needed to conclude with our new accounting partner. I got some work done. I was tired most of the day.

THURSDAY JUNE 18 2020
Return with a vengeance! My eyes hurt so bad that i felt they'll pop out if i open them. The excruciating pain returned with a vengeance. We had a director's meeting scheduled for today. We had to cancel it. Arrrg! Ikú o! @cfagbata called & i couldn't speak

With him nor with anyone for that matter. I was sure it will be last day of my life. Kai! So i wasn't going to see my kids before hades opens the door? It was a depressing thought but that was what kept on playing in my head as i struggled with whatever was ravaging my body.

Sleep unfollowed me and hallucination took over. Several times I caught myself talking high Valyrian wishing i had Valerian to cure my insomnia. Spasm after spasm of pain washed over me. My chest hurt and once again i could feel something examining every single organ from my head

to my toes and back again looking for some weak spot or so. If I survived this night....let me just survive so i can see my kids one more time! The cold and chills was not helped by the pouring rain. I have never prayed for morning to come so bad. It came eventually &I am Alive!

FRIDAY 19 JUNE 2020.

SATURDAY JUNE 20 2020
I woke up feeling really good today! No pains at all. Just a little tired but I could get around. Took a little stroll and tried to push the limit. Not a good idea. Saturday was really good. I hope the nightmare stay away. No results yet. Now i understand

why some people die before the results are out and it turns out positive.
SUNDAY 21 JUNE 2020
I feel a lot stronger and a whole lot better! Looks like the worst of whatever it is is over. Thank God! Still weak and feel tired after every activity but zero pain. I decided to

send a text message to the DG NCDC about my test. Someone called me this night to get my details. I thanked the DG for being very gracious. Sunday was good. I slept well.
MONDAY 22 JUNE 2020

I got a call from the NCDC today. My result came out Positive!😓😫🤢🤕😷.So it was #COVID__19. Dr. Fadare spoke with me extensively and was convinced I did not need to come to the isolation center. She asked what herbs I used and why. I explained in detail. She said I should

Keep fighting it and stay isolated. I'll have another test in 14 days. They asked questions about my contacts and neighbours. She was amazing! Shortly after Ms. Akínyẹmí called from @LSMOH She also asked about my contacts so they can start contact tracing. She wanted to know

how i was feeling and asked me to use everything to fight it.I Should Educate everyone I can. Nice person too. I shared the sad news with my family and the reaction was unexpected! Prayers and Support. Dupe sent me a long prayer. Dad called! Wow! Spoke with Granny and mom.

@Tobyadewusi sent me a ton of food that can outlast a siege! My Dad came over With herbs and instructions. We spoke in the last few days more than we have spoken in the last 20 years. I am very touched😭😭😭. I'll do better. I still cannot work. I am mentally

tired. One day at a time I guess. Slept most of the Afternoon and woke up in good spirit. Slight pain around my abdomen but i don't think it is #COVID__19 related. Maybe too much fluids. I am better by far!

Today I did the steam with the herb again. Really energizing and makes me sleep. I tried to organize the ton of food from @Tobyadewusi and get generally active. Zero pain.

Why do I think today is Tuesday? I tried to get some work done

I couldn't. Breakfast was fruits and vegetables and the herbs. I'm still mentally distanced from work. Mom called as if on cue and asked that i stay away from the PC. I tried to clean up the house and cook. I think I overworked myself. I was exhausted and knocked out otherwise

I am really fine. Thanks to all the DMs and calls and best wishes. For those asking for the herb and how to use it,I'll be charging an arm and a foot🤣🤣. Just DM me. We will beat this. It is not malaria nor anything you have known. Wash your hands regularly. Good night everyone.
