AAG Chinnappa says that whoever has come, have been transported to home states. We cannot compel them to go their states, only enable them, Chinnappa contends.

CJ Oka asks ASG Nargund how the GOI is going to monitor whether the SC order is being followed in true letter and spirit by all states. GOI plays a vital role as migrants are going from one state to another, CJ Oka.

Court further clarifies that in its previous order, it said that the State must not take advantage of the word "may" mentioned in the SC order. The transportation must be done even beyond 15 days, in case if there are migrants not able to go back within the deadline fixed by SC.
The Court directs SG to place on record whether it wants to help those registered migrants who want to go back to their homes after June 24.
Further, Court directs State to place on record its decision whether such migrant workers will be treated at par with those migrants who were transported before June 24.
Bench also directs Railways to place on record the details of number of requisition for special trains made by Govt of Karnataka from the date of SC order till today.
The matter has been next posted for hearing on July 2.
