Here, for what it's worth, is my manifesto for change:
/1.
a) making the Nolan Principles a legal duty of care for all elected officials and their SpAds;
b) deepening, broadening & strengthening the powers of the House of Commons standards committee;
c) giving the public greater powers of recall of MPs
a) making every vote count — introduce PR (too many are disenfranchised by FPTP as MPs' loyalty is to party not constituency)
b) a party-neutral boundary review;
c) limiting the power of the whip.
a) restores balance of power between executive, legislature & judiciary (damaged by Brexit process);
b) reverses politicization of judiciary & civil service;
c) sets in law conventions that rely on good morals.
1. No taxation w/o representation (Pay your tax offshore? No vote in UK)
2. More devolution, inclu. a parliament for England.
3. Greater decentralization (ridiculous that LCs can't close beaches)
Hey presto! Trust in politics restored + UK's democracy strengthened.

We're not stupid. We see the power grab. We see the corruption. We see the cronyism. We're increasingly disgusted with this Govt.
The current system, as evidenced by the Robert Jenrick *cash for favours* scandal, is turning British politics into a cesspit.
Johnson should be stopped from adding any more Lords until some exit. It's utterly ridiculous & a disgusting waste of taxpayers' £ to be adding 30 more Lords when there are already 811.
