He had a small sausage business. Why would that have been affected by COVID? If there was a demand for his sausage before COVID, wouldn’t that demand still exist? Lots of small food producers have found innovative ways to adapt. Why couldn’t he?

We heard that he worked in a local grocery store. I think we all know that grocery stores have actually been doing quite well thru this pandemic - with some adjustments for safety measures. So did he lose that job? If so, why? Likely not because of COVID.

Finally, as a small business owner, assuming he had employees, wouldn’t he have been eligible for some of the government’s pandemic relief programs? If so, did he apply? If not, why not?

They regularly talk about Trudeau - and shitpost on social media - using words like “corrupt”, “criminal”, “terrorist”. And their base often comments adding words like “treason” or “traitor” and those comments go unchallenged. #cdnpoli #cdnmedia #RideauHall

Recently, many have started adding words like “dictator” and “communist”. Again, this has gone unchallenged. There are literally thousands of examples of this all over social media and comment sections. #cdnpoli #cdnmedia #RideauHall

Last year, many conservative politicians - MPs and Senators - gleefully participated in a yellow vests rally on Parliament Hill - unbothered and unapologetic about all the chants and signs calling Trudeau a traitor and demanding he be hanged for treason. #cdnpoli #cdnmedia

One conservative senator even told protesters to “roll over every Liberal” on their way back to Alberta. That was brushed off as “just an expression” and that he didn’t actually mean “roll over” then with their trucks. Of course not. 🙄 #cdnpoli #cdnmedia #RideauHall

Then there’s the whole guns debate.
Yes, the Trudeau govt brought in legislation to ban or restrict certain types of firearms. I admit that I don’t know much about guns so I haven’t laid that much attention to the legislation, but here’s what I do know.

The majority of Canadians support restrictions on owning firearms and the banning of certain types of firearms. Many feel this move was long overdue. #cdnpoli #cdnmedia #RideauHall

The conservatives have framed this legislation as “Trudeau is coming after your property and your rights”.

Let’s be clear - in Canada, no one has the RIGHT to own a firearm. Owning a firearm is a privilege, NOT a right. #cdnpoli #cdnmedia #RideauHall

In hindsight, it seems Corey Hurren did not deserve that privilege.
