#BREAKING: I'm filing a lawsuit to stop the Trump administration from removing protections in the #ACA that would allow health care providers to discriminate against LGBTQ+ individuals, women, and other vulnerable communities.

I won't let this administration take us backwards.
The rule is dangerous and will put lives at risk.
 
Transgender individuals could be denied care.
 
Women could be denied care.

People with limited English proficiency could be denied language assistance needed to obtain care and understand their rights.
It is never acceptable to deny health care to Americans who need it, but it is especially egregious to do so in the middle of a pandemic.
 
Health care is a basic right and that's why I'm leading 23 states to fight to protect it.

We just finished hearing from our 100th witness over the past two days.

Our investigation of the interactions between the police and the public during the recent protests will benefit immeasurably from the testimony we have heard.
Thank you to our two advisors, former United States Attorney General, Loretta Lynch and @barryfriedman1, Founder & Faculty Director of the @policingproject at @nyulaw for their participation.

Their commitment to fairness and equality was clear throughout these hearings.
Most importantly: Thank you to all the New Yorkers who bravely testified yesterday and today. Your stories are critical to our efforts to seek justice.

I understand the @NYPDnews is telling the press that they were not "formally" invited to this hearing. The NYPD was, in fact, invited on multiple occasions.
On June 10 at ~7:40pm, the Commanding Officer of the NYPD Legal Bureau, who has been liaising with our team on this investigation, was informed about the hearing and the @NYPDnews was invited to attend.
On June 11 at ~10:10am, a written Public Notice about the hearing was shared with the @NYPDnews via email.

This email was shared with the Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Legal Matters and the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for the NYPD.

I ordered Alex Jones to immediately stop selling & marketing products as a treatment or cure for #coronavirus on his website.

If he doesn't cease & desist these activities immediately, I won't hesitate to take legal action & hold him accountable for the harm he’s caused.
Mr. Jones has been marketing & selling toothpaste, dietary supplements, creams & other products as treatments to prevent & cure the #coronavirus.

He even fraudulently claims the US government has said his toothpaste "kills the whole SARS-corona family at point-black range."
Mr. Jones’ public platform has given him a microphone to shout inflammatory rhetoric, but these latest mistruths are incredibly dangerous & pose a serious threat to the public health of our nation.

There is NO FDA-approved vaccine or treatment to prevent or cure #coronavirus.
