The federal officers in Portland are undertaking a "phased withdrawal" starting on Thursday. However, there will be a “robust presence of Oregon State Police" taking over with the help of local police, all in communication with the Federal Protective Service.

Acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf's statement. "The Department [(DHS)] will continue to maintain our current, augmented federal law enforcement personnel in Portland until we are assured that the Hatfield Federal Courthouse and other federal properties will no longer be attacked"
