Even after the memo released recently about the boundaries & operational limit of #SARS, the criminally minded “cult” are still on rampage carrying out illicit arrest & detention of Nigerians, & this is still happening because some Nigerians urge...

them on With money inducement(bribe) to inflict physical, psychological torture (not also forgetting the monetary extortion) on fellow citizens.
I’ve been trying to reach my in-law since yesterday, cos we’ve been discussing about a business investment for a while now, - 2
and I wanted to get…
Feedback from him so as to his stand as to if we’re moving ahead with the biz – but he hasn’t been taking his calls; I just assumed that he was busy with business reaching and doing follow ups on his clients who are mostly based in Nigeria, since - 3
he’s stuck here due to the…
Pandemic.
My in-law is a Chinese resident and a Nigerian business man who is into importing, clearing and forwarding and has been in the business for over 15years.
Earlier this today, I received a call from my sister(his wife) a skin me to - 4
send her the number of one
of our aunt's, I was surprised she doesn't have the number, I asked her why, she said she hurriedly left the house without her other phone which had the number. Just before the call ended I asked her why her husband wasn't taking his calls,
- 5
that was when she reluctantly opened up and told me that he
Was held at the SARS detention camp Awkuzu. She said he's has been there since Monday, & she narrated how it happened.
It all started in 2016, my in-law & one Mr. Samuel – (who’s his client & associate)
- 6
had a business deal where Mr. Samuel sent $8,000 which was supposed to be used to make procurements from China. Before the $8k transaction, they’ve both had previous hitch free business transactions. The $8k transaction could not be cleared due as the owner of the account
- 7
(domiciled in an offshore bank) that my in-law gave to Mr. Samuel could not deliver.
Fast forward to last month, they both met and discussed on how my in-law would go about the repayment of the debt which he completely took responsibility for.
@PoliceNG @NATIONALHUMAN17

- 8
They reached a compromise that my in-law will be remitting N500k for every container he offloads. Fast forward again first week of this month(can’t really place the precise date), a relative of Mr. Samuel called my in-law and told him that Mr. Samuel
@akaebube @SIAF_NG

- 9
was sick & needed about N85k for treatment, my in-law transferred a N100k to him so as to enable him commence treatment, even though no container has docked in Nigeria let alone been offloaded.
Sometime in the previous weekend, Mr. Samuel called that he was back from

- 10
where he went to receive attention and that needed to meet with him and my in-law obliged. He arrived at the meeting place but didn’t see Mr. Samuel even after waiting for a while; he called Mr. Samuel severally on the phone who kept telling him we was on his way.

- 11
Having waited for a long time & was already tired, my in-law left for home, it was after he got home that Mr. Samuel called to tell him that he just arrived the meeting place, my-law had to reschedule the meeting for 9am Monday(27th)morning at a hotel in the

@akunnachux

- 12
estate at Onitsha where he resides, before he leaves for a business engagement in PH. While waiting for Mr. Samuel at the hotel, some persons who claimed to be men of #SARS Awkuzu, swooped on him & told him to follow them to their office, because someone

@AbdulMahmud01

- 13
brought a charge against him. It should be on record that the said estate where this hotel is located has a regulation in place which doesn’t allow external forces to make an arrest of any resident of the estate without first going through the management of the estate.

#EndSARS
But the Rogue #SARS, knowing that the reason for his illegal arrest is frivolous & holds no water, decided to liaise/lied to the hotel management that they were on a mission to arrest a cyber-fraudster(yahoo boy) of which the hotel ignorantly acceded

@Mazigburugburu1

- 14
and allowed them to whisk my in-law away through an alternative exit and not the main entrance/exit of the estate(this action on its own was a breach of the estate’s rules & regulations). After not seeing her husband who was to come back home from a Supposed

@peterobi

- 15
brief meeting & then run along for his business engagement in PH, my sister – his wife, called to check in, but he didn’t take his call, which was unlike him; she called persistently but to no avail, so she opted to call Mr. Samuel who picked and told her that they had

- 16
already rounded off their meeting & that my in-law should be on his way to PH.
Sensing some anomaly - because her husband was supposed to come back home before leaving for PH, my sister called their family friend who is a fine police officer serving in Abuja to help track

- 17
her husband’s number, only to discover that his location was pinned at the dreaded #SARS detention camp in Awkuzu which has been negatively making the rounds in media space in recent times.
Not too long after his location was pinned, my sister received an anonymous call

- 18
From someone she suspects to be a #SARS personnel who told her that her husband is been held at SARS Awkuzu. My sister (who has two very little kids & is currently pregnant with another) immediately prepared & made her way to Awkuzu (while leaving her kids at home)

@PoliceNG_CRU
where her husband was illegally held, only to get there & was told that her husband was held for very grievous & unsubstantiated allegations ranging from robbery, attempted kidnapping, fraud etc. She was shocked & overwhelmed at hearing all the allegations...

@PoliceNG

- 20
leveled against her husband because she knows the accuser as well as how far her husband had gone in trying to settle with him. Their lawyer wasn’t able to go with her to Awkuzu, because it was an unexpected emergency & he had legal engagements at the time he was contacted.

- 21
Knowing that their lawyer isn’t going to be available, she decided to make enquiry on the bail terms but was ignored; she persisted and after several hours, she was told that she would pay N1,000,000 because the charges against her husband were heinous.

@falzthebahdguy

- 22
After much deliberation & negotiations they did a downward review to N500,000. They said it was the least they could go. She tried telling them that the money was too much considering the nature of things in the country and how it has taking a negative toll on businesses.

- 23
that moreover her husband already has an understanding with the accuser & he is innocent of all those weighty allegations. They told her that they know he is innocent that’s why they’d want to work with her to see that he is released;but of she doesn't comply,

@henryshield

- 24
with their outrageous demand & pay the money, they’d go ahead & submit an unsubstantiated investigation report to the Commissioner of police in the state(Anambra),& that he’ll have no choice but to act on whatever report they bring to him.

@PoliceNG_CRU @AcpIshaku
#EndSARS

- 25
My sister, had to leave them, though she told them she’d be coming back tomorrow(that is Today 30th July). She has been going to Awkuzu since on Tuesday, she leaves their house in Federal Housing Onitsha in the morning & comes back at night in her present condition(pregnant)

-26
It should be noted that As at 24hours ago, my sister transferred N500k to Mr. Samuel as a show of good fate, even though business is slow due to the pandemic and its hit in China, which is the business domain of my in-law(Mr. Ben). & it should also be noted that..

#EndSARS

- 27
My in-law is a legitimate & Int'l business man who has been in his line of business for years and conducts his business in a manner that is professional & satisfactory to his clients(though business sometimes encounters setbacks, as is the case with this);

@von_Bismack

- 28
& has never been declared wanted, neither is he on the run.

This extortion & frustration of well meaning Nigerians must be brought to a Halt because a lot of individuals & families are losing their lives and that of their loved ones, as well as their common patrimony,

- 29
meagre savings, livelihood & not forgetting their sanity as a result of endless #SARS brutality & excesses.
Let's all lend our voices;It's a collective responsibility
