In pension news Travis, who as one commentator put it, was supposed to be the adult in the room among cabinet ministers (thanks Daveberta). Well, not so much. Travis, in an email to concerned constituents, has doubled down on his pension delusions. #ABLeg #betheadult

To quote Travis: "Government has no intention of changing its policy of consolidating investment management under AIMCo. This policy will reduce costs paid by pension plans."

As I have shown so many times before, demonstrably false. #ABLeg

First, the GOA has no business imposing its policy on jointly sponsored pension plans. The GOA makes<50% of the contributions.

Second, as so clearly demonstrated through recent events, the pension plans must be able to fire Kevin and/or AIMCO when warranted. #ABLeg

Third, as his Deputy Minister Athana made clear, no detailed study of cost or return has been done. So he ought to shut his yap about saving money because it won't. #ABLeg

Sort of like the parks closures, no consultation and no savings.

As has been well pointed out, red tape for unions has gone exponentially higher. Likely to be struck down as unconstitutional but don't worry @jkenney will be gone long before that occurs. And, he has seemingly unlimited tax dollars to hire private law firms to argue. #ABLeg

In my own case @jkenney has railed on about the ATA Science Council Conference inviting Dr. David Suzuki to give a talk. In his perfidy, @jkenney fails to mention that the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers was also giving a talk at the same conference. #ABLeg

In fact CAPP @OilGasCanada has regularly given talks and conducted facility tours at teacher conferences. I have personally attended a number of them. I am no expert on the legislation that was just rammed through but it seems that this is now illegal. #ABleg #thatwasstupid

I predict that there are a number of industry groups that will not be allowed back under the current red tape scheme. #ABLeg

I again have a list of MLA whose retort to constituents was "if you don't like it vote us out". Challenge accepted. Nate Glubish, recall legislation.
